In short: Lives up to its name
In full: Great race. First few miles over reasonably easy trail before hitting the hills and then the muddy, boggy, water filled Wetlands. More hills towards the end that involved running up and down doing hairpin turns at the top and bottom. No mile markers made pacing the race tough. Could do with some showers or a few hoses at the end and a slightly better start but it was a great day out. Where do I sign up for next year?

In short: Second time and should the devil return, I'll be there!
In full: I'm beginning to see the challenge of this. A different route each year, no mile markers and no idea where the end or the middle is. The uncertainty is hell! There was less mud and fewer hill of hell this year, which was nice - but if only I'd known at the start. I paced myself too much expecting last year's nightmare ending.
Good run though, and good atmosphere.

In short: An excellent and professionally organised race. Knackering hills & deep runner swallowing bogs!. A great laugh, and this is from a 'softy road runner'! I can't recomend this enough!!!!!!!

In short: That hot bath never felt better
In full: Never felt so exhausted after a race. I am still knackered 6 hours later. Really enjoyed myself though. 'The Wetlands' were a bit different. Up to my neck in mud after stumbling whilst wading through waist deep mud. I am now tending to agree with work mates who think I am mad !

In short: 2nd year another great AND a bit tougher race MUD
In full: Great race, More mud this year, more hills in the middle section. Pretty knackering.

Start needs to be better organised with a gap in the pen at the back for people to file into. Pushing people in at the front of the line didn't work. That aside a well organised and well marketed run.

Certainly harder this year warranting the HELLRUNNER title.

The amount of mud in the shower was unbelievable. I hope the Persil in the goody bag works on the runner who ran round in his badminton kit (including racket).
