In short: One for the diary
In full: I really enjoyed this race. Managed a pb despite the bridges and kissing gates. Very non threatening and not too serious. Well organised though there was a lack of toilets resulting in quite a lengthy queue. Beautiful day.

In short: Great marshalls and scenery.
In full: Thank you to the many marshalls. All were smiling and offering positive encouragement. The race route is very picturesque and a bit challenging with the switches in terrain. Really enjoyed the race. Will be back. Thanks PP, very slick organisation.

In short: Perfect Purple Patch
In full: so I'd agree it's not PB potential as it does undulate, however last year and this I smashed my PB on it. Must be a combination of the venue, the scenery, the fantastic marshals and the lack of pressure to to fantastic organisation.
1 possible improvement for next year would be to move the porta-loos back to their original position . . ..

well done Purple Patch. You deserver the awards you have received for this race.

In short: Splendid race, terrific organisation
In full: What a lovely race. Comms before the day spot-on and not to the point of spam as some other races. The day itself was set of by glorious weather (okay I know this can't be controlled but it was an added bonus). Car parking with ease, number and chip pickup fast, good start atmosphere.
The race itself was made a lovely course, with added interest of bridges and changes of running surface (all dry).
The Marshalls, well what can I say? They were great - really encouraging for those of us who are not at the front of the pack, and cracking sense of humour from them. It really is the Marshalls who can make or break a race and you have some great people there.
My 8 year old enjoyed the childrens' race - albeit she was a bit disappointed not to get any medal - but she understood once I explained that, with no entry fee payable for the children's races that the money was best spent on the African water charity. Maybe in coming years it could be a fee-paying race for children so they could get a medal? Ahyhow she was pacified when she commandeered my medal!
Thankyou so much, we'll be back next year.

In short: Excellent event
In full: One of the best events in the calendar. Ace scenery, route that is flat but has a few challenges on it, top atmosphere and marshalling, efficient bag storage, organization like clockwork. They even make sure the weather is perfect. Really can't think of any negatives on this one, although if the event expands traffic congestion at the venue and on the dual carriageway outside could become an issue. In short though - top race and top marks to Purple Patch.
