In short: The hills are alive with the sound of Movember! In full: OK so there weren't loads of hills but the ones on this course were more than enough for someone doing their first 10km race in 2 years! The organisation was great and having a pc rigged up to check your race time straightaway was a great touch along with the pre-race porridge (for those who had an appetite) and welcome post-race chocolate & flavoured water. A fun event with a good atmosphere. Note to self - include some hill training for next time! Still managed a PB though! Date of review: November 15, 2010

In short: Described as flat when it was anything but In full: I chose this race because I wanted a flat race. My Garmin said the total elevation was 377 metres, not flat. The hill at 5k was steep and challenging and from then on it was a steady uphill until the last k (where there was an amazing but shouldn't have been there on a FLAT race). Also described as being on trails in parkland, well for some of it, yes, definitely less than half though. Underpasses and road bridges are not trails or parkland. Water station at 5k was a girl sat on a cool box, no indication that she wasn't just one of the marshalls. Goody bag was several flyers for Movember and a snickers bar, not great if you have a peanut allergy. Hated this race to be frank, I chose a flat race because racing up hills makes my asthma flare up. I feel the organisers should have been honest, especially considering the price. Very poor show. In short: Very well organised with a good positive atmosphere In full: This was a really well organised event, everything from the car parking to the marshalling and facilities was excellent and there was a really good atmosphere. A good challenging course and the advantage of chip timing which is an advantage for a small-ish event. I'll be back next year... Date of review: November 15, 2010

In short: Great event, with really good atmosphere... In full: Weather helped, and i think the route changed made the finish to the race much better.
Awesome idea, loved seeing the Brothers and Sisters with their MO's. My time was average but the support etc for other runners and the atmosphere was really friendly! Willen and Campbell park are nice places to run around. Some hills but nice last 2k downhill.... Will def return next year if it's on again. For those that care, the pack/medal at the end seemed good value... Date of review: November 14, 2010

In short: Udualating with lots of twists and turns, slippery in places, no indoor facilites or marque. In full: Nice to support mens health but would have been better off giving £10 to charity and entering a local race. Only 4 toiltets, I have 3 at home, no undercover area on a cold winters day. Goody bag=snickers bar and medal. The course was too twisty and slippery. Start not clearly marked which caused confusion with everybody lining up the wrong way. Our chips did not work so data fabricated as were a few others! Only 300 entrants, the suggested 2000 would have been chaos. Date of review: November 14, 2010

In short: good spirit, hills as a late comer In full: My first time on this 10k and the route was certainly creative, the hill at 8k came as a suprise to many and spread the field out! Date of review: November 13, 2010

In short: Great Atmosphere for a great cause In full: Had a great time today at this race this is my 5th 10K and I must say this was by far the best for atmosphere they really got the mood going with the music few hills but i still manages a PB of 53.20 so that topped it for me. Had no problems with getting race number and chip time the course was around greenwich park and you had to go to one point 3 times if you were listening to instructions given then it was simple enough but some people got confused and i think it was on my 3rd time that some people were getting confused on where they should be going so got in the way a bit. £18 was probably most I have spent but a nice medal at end and it is for a good cause thanks for a great morning out the missus and kids came along and wore fake moustaches which was very funny :-) Date of review: November 13, 2010

In short: Terrain from smooth to rough to muddy In full: Thi is my second time on this course, and the pebbly bits were a bit slippery (we were warned at the start), but there weren't as many muddy puddles as last year. Organisation was good; although arriving after 9am meant a longish queue for the loos I still managed to do that, register and drop my bag off by 9.25. I thought the post-run massage tables were a lovely touch - I've got my name down for one next year! The scenery is very nice, but the rough running surface in many places gave me no tome to look at it. Talked to a first-timer who said what a lovely friendly atmosphere there was, which I think sums it up. Oh - and I set a new PB, 5 minutes quicker than this event in 2009!
