In short: Well Organised and good route
In full: The organisation was very good and the moving of the Start and Finish led to a much easier start (no real bottlenecks this year) and better finish point. Probably not best idea not to send out numbers etc as queues for some people bit annoying.

In short: Well organised as ever, finish much better
In full: This is perennially the best 10 miler that I do all year and this year didn't disappoint. The only significant change vs last year was the change to the start and finish places, in response to comments received I suspect, which was certainly a change for the better. other aspects of the race; parking, toilets etc all seemed to run smoothly as normal, though the cold weather probably put a bit more pressure on the school as a venue than normal. This is simply a well run and well organised club race and excellent value for the £15 entry fee and should be taken as such. If you want a lavish goodie bag, music and razzmataz I would suggest looking elsewhere, if you just want a challenging and enjoyable run then look here.

In short: The race itself is fine...
In full: The race itself is fine. Lovely course through the countryside. A couple of sharp inclines, but compensated for by lots of good downhill stretches too and lots of fast + flat stretches too.

The rest seemed a little disorganized. Not enough room in the HQ hall, as there were so many people queuing for chips. The bag drop was totally disorganized. £20 late entry fee i felt was very steep.

In short: Start to finish fine, the rest......?
In full: Enjoyed the day and found the course very fair, what goes up, comes back down again... Conditions also good, no doubt helping the number of pb's. I have to say though that the rest of the event was distinctly average, the usual log jam collecting chIps and numbers, too many runners for the venue, overflowing changing rooms with water... A pretty average medal too so not great value for money, from gun to funnel it ticked the boxes however and will do it again just for the course, with no expectations of anything else.

In short: Good race if you are preparing for the London Maratat the entrance hon.
In full: First of all I found the organisation pretty average. The marshalls were friendly but I think that there could have been a few more, especially near the railway bridge at the 7 mile mark, prior to the left turn. And what about the water stations? We were told at the 4 and 7 mile markers. There were at the 3.5 and 8.2 mile marks. The guy at the "8 mile" station kept on telling us that there were just 2 miles to go that did not fool anybody into believing that the station was in the wrong place. This is not all, the pre race informtion which we received stated that there was ample parking, I got there 50mins before the start and the area was a complete traffic jam with 2 marshalls doing nothing but standing like gingerbread men at the entrance to the school and not bothering to offer any assistance as to where you can park your car. The HQ was not up to the job in hosting 1000 runners and they ran out of hot drinks at the hot drinks counter. And for the guy who did the announcements at the presentation, I will not say anything more about. Pity I could not find any fault with the actual course save for the lack of water at the drinks stations and at the end. We had about 10 from my club and I will not be recommending to anybody next year. Shame we had it as a club championship when it used to start in front of the Cathedral.

In short: pleasant country run just offsets the teasing undulations, no frills, BRING YOUR OWN WATER!!!
In full: We'll start with the negatives. Water stations at 4 and sometime after 7 seems a bit cruel, especially as they are before the harder hills. This has been remarked upon year on year so we came prepared. Whilst £15 is cheap, a plastic cup of water at the finish (not even a 250 ml) bottle is a bit tight. We've had FGS drinks and bananas and biscuits at cheaper or equivalent 10ks. A medal is your reward so don't expect any treats. Full of club vests and fast times despite the undulations, but it is a good run for this time of year. It is quite hard but not a killer and pefectly achievable irrespective of your ability. A mixed field so anyone can go for it. Some encouraging marshals, a cheering ambulance team around mile 3 and enough supporters throughout to keep you going and give a bit of atmosphere, so huge thanks to though who braved the rain and cold today. So take it for what it is: a well attended testing run that is the reward in itself. Bring your own water and if you need your back patting, take a mate with a diy goodie bag to give you at the end. So give it a go. And we probably would again. [joint review by sub 1 hr and sub 1hr 29 so a balanced mix

In short: A lovely race with great scenery.
In full: However, perhaps the finish could be rethought - I was one of the runners who failed to negotiate the speed bump just before the finish and fell flat on my face. Also, having to go in hunt of your reward once you've passed the line is rather a let-down.
