In short: Brilliant support & organisation from the moment the race entry was submitted. Really enjoyed the day. In full: Chester marathon was just a really enjoyable day out, only my second marathon and a 10 year break since the first which was London. This was so different and has certainly reignited the running bug. Enjoyable and scenic course with great support along the route and particulary from marshalls, drinks teams & cadets in the last 6 miles. Brilliantly organised. A PB but wondering if I can run it faster now!! Thanks to the whole organising team. Date of review: October 14, 2011
In short: A well organised race In full: This was my first marathon, and I don't think I could have chosen a better race, the support around the course was fantastic having your name on your number really helped. The water stations were superb they even had Levi's handing out water out at one stage. Date of review: October 14, 2011

In short: great addition to the mara calendar In full: i wasn't intending to do this race but, after watching it last year and going to their free talk with andi jones. I was so impressed i decided to add this in, and i wasn't dissappointed. this race had excellent orginaization (the drinks stations were top draw). while i wouldn't target this race as their are other monster mara's its up against at that time year. it is one, i'll try and fit when i can.
personally wouldn't call this a pb cource. its definatly undulateing with a coupls of short challanging hills, do-able but will take a toll. while you can achieve PB's on this cource, on the same day, i'd run faster on a few other cources i know.
warm and welcoming race, with excellent organisation, a great addition to the calendar. p.s. love the long sleave tec shirt. Date of review: October 13, 2011
In short: A brilliant race, I prefered this to London Marathon. Undulating rather than flat, with a bit of grss as you run in/out of the race course. Good support along the course. Nice goody bag. PB potential. Would recommend. Well done Chester Marathon. Date of review: October 13, 2011
