In short: ENERGY DRINK, NOT WATER!!
In full: GOOD RACE BUT WITH 7000+ ENTRANTS THE START COULD DO WITH A RAVAMP.NO PROBLEM AT THE END AS ALL RUNNERS ARE SPREAD OUT. I ALWAYS SEEM TO NEED A PEE IN SEFTON PARK. A NEW ROUTE PAST ANFIELD WOULD BE BETTER FOR THIS.

In short: More bad points than good :(
In full: Good Points...
Beautiful city, great route overlooking the liverbirds, views of the cathedral, through the parks full of daffodils & back along the Mersey.

The stewards along the last mile were really supportive.

The volunteers on the water points were great!

Bad points...
The start was overcrowded and no one had any idea what was happening due to the poor PA System which couldn't be heard.

The pacers were all stood together as they couldn't get into the starting area due to overcrowding of participants and spectators. Therefore it was impossible to get to a pacer from the start.

The stewards at the beginning of the event were pretty miserable, any form of support (even a smile!) would have been nice.

There were not enough toilets queues were horrendous and toilets were still arriving trying to fight through the crowds at 9.15am?!

There were no signs to the start of the event everyone was wandering around aimlessly looking for the start. Parking was horrendous and we left extra early as advised and a £5 charge!

The end of the event was manic everyone was queuing to get to the marquee to get out, at least a 20min wait an absolute shambles.

The cost of £29 to enter for a plastic bag filled with leaflets, loo roll and a horrific orange t.shirt - poor quality. More importantly no foil on hand at the end or in the bags which from experience at all other events I have taken part in (10k, half and full) I have always received one.

It seems a real shame that such a fantastic city cant even manage to organise a good event for the city. Hopefully this will be improved for the marathon in October.

Also some encouragement on the course would have been a plus for those of us running in 2hrs + those last few miles are hard. A suggestion would be some bands or cheering points for local people rather than people standing there watching maybe give them all something to wave/hit/make a noise and show some support, this would really enhance the participant and spectator experience. Look at the Great North Run - the route goes through some of the most awful areas but the support is immense!

In short: Fast, Furious and with helpful scousers to keep you going.
In full: My 3rd half marathon since re-commencing running and definitely the best so far. Really friendly with lots of enthusiasticly dressed runners and supporters. Given some jelly babies at 12 miles from the crowd that definitely got me over the line. will definitely be back again. Thanks Liverpool

In short: Fab course
In full: This was my second Liverpool half and I found it as enjoyable as the first. The course is lovely, going through the parks and the weather was kind to us this year for the last 3 miles. Only gripes were the lack of loos (more of a problem for us ladies) and the rather poor goody bag and t-shirt at the end - but will be back next year.
