In short: An absolute favourite, I come back time and time again.
In full: Thanet roadrunners are brilliant at organising, better year after year. So encouraging on the way round and marshals at all key points. Fantastic route, nice ups and downs and such a varied route keeps it all interesting. Good idea to do the loops at the start to make up the mileage so a nice sprint back along the front at the end. Lots of prizes for the winners and a great medal, T shirt and snacks for everyone. Love this race!

In short: A good value 20 miler!
In full: I really enjoyed this race despite the weather. I found the organisation and marshalls excellent. It's the first time I've done a race over 13.1 miles and I can't believe how much I enjoyed it.

In short: Excellent Marathon Prep
In full: As one of the race team just want to say well done to all the runners yesterday in not ideal conditions.

There was a toilet queue but there is at every race I've been too and the there were also toilets on the seafront which were mentioned in the race information sheet sent to every entrant.

Thanks to the First Time Race Director Andy for picking this race up and putting it back on the calendar!

In short: superbly organised, friendly and great value for money
In full: My first attempt at this race and wasnt disappointed at all.. The organisation was smooth, hq was more than adequate bar the usual backlog for the loos... perhaps the organisers could also advertise the other toilets near the start? The race itself was very well organised, plenty of good enthusiastic marshalls, well operated drinks stations and a fair smattering of spectators.. The course was fairly tame in the first half but the drag up the ramp at the cliff was a killer for me, still i cracked on and finished sub 2.30 so really happy with that - will be back if i am barmy enough to do another marathon next year!

In short: Excellent race, excellent course, well done TRR
In full: Having done this in 2009 I knew what to expect and you didn't let me down.
The organisation was pretty much perfect, although a couple more portaloos at the HQ would always come in handy, there were reasonable public toilets by the start as well but not everyone knew this hence the long queues.

I wear contact lenses and you were able to provide a room with a sink and soap so that I could put them in without going near the alcohol hand cleaners in the portaloos.

Excellent marshalling as always, plenty of encouragement and directions where needed.

Thank Thanet, another excellent race, see you next year hopefully...

In short: Nicely organised, well marshalled.
In full: Windy, damp, and a fairly lumpy course for a coastal race. Mix of seafront and housing estates with a short section of offroad. Very well organised with plenty of friendly marshalling, frequent water stations and a small but perfectly formed goody bag without the usual selection of leaflets for recycling. Provisional results up on the website the same day, which I think is also excellent for a non chip timed race. Thanks to the organisers and marshalls.
