In short: Amazed at how nice Milton Keynes is but organisation at the end a let down.
In full: Lets not forget this is a pretty big half marathon and the start definitely felt like a big event, freebies from Lucozade plenty of portaloos etc.

The end though was exceptionally diisorganised, I had to stand for around ten minutes in the funnel before I could get my medal.

Overall though it is one I would do again, only if the weather was better, as contrary to all expectations it does make MK seem quite a picturesque place.

In short: Cold but fast
In full: start was a little chaotic and would have benefitted from banding. A little difficult to overtake in the first four miles, as it got quite 'busy' on the narrower paths. Main disappointment was the finish, queuing for nine minutes in the cold to get a medal wasn't nice. However, very flat course and achieved p.b. by five minutes. Marshals all very friendly.

In short: A nice race but lots of room for improvement
In full: The route was pleasant but a bit too bumpy around the cyclepaths - unfortunately the start and finish could have been a lot better: banding at the start and an organised finish would have improved the race immensely.

In short: Decent event, spoiled by the chaotic finish
In full: Decent course, reasonably scenic for Milton Keynes, great sports drinks, well-marshalled and well supported. I have never though had to finish short of the finishing line to join a queue for 15 minutes waiting for a grumpy guy to take my number. And was I the only one who's Garmin showed all the mile markers out and the course 13.27 miles long? I didn't expect this with Nike.

In short: Not lightening quick; gently undulating the whole way but still worthwhile.
In full: Not as flat as some I've run due to the footbridges and underpasses a little isolated in places with little support, even the marshalls were quiet - maybe that was due to the temperature. Good to see water and Lucozade available, I like to have a choice.

In short: Acheived PB, redicted times at the start and much more efficient funnelling at the end! Good course for speed though.
In full: This is the third time I have ran this race and the first time it has been sponsored by Nike. I like this race because it is flat and has good PB potential, however this year it may have become to big for its own good. The start was a free for all. There were a large number of runners wearing the wrist bands handed out by the Lucozade tent with 2 hours on them at the very front. I am sure it would be much better for everyone if the start was segmented into predicted finishing times, so that people could position themselves in the appropriate segment at the start. The end was not much better, fortunately I got through before the larger segment of runners finished, but my girlfriend finished in 1.50 and was in a que for over 15 mins to finished. I felt very sorry for those finishing after this as it looked so backed up it look difficult to get across the finishing line!. Overall this is a really good race, but it has grown and now needs better organisation. This is the second Nike race I have attended and I have to say I have not been very impressed with a lot of the organisation.

In short: Well worth running - good value for money and quite scenic in places.
In full: Fast(ish) course but not pancake flat, generally well organised including excellent parking. Problems at the finish - when you've run 13.1 miles you want to be able to at least cross the finish line rather than stop 20 yards beforehand and join the back of a queue !

In short: I never ealised that Milton Keynes could look so nice. the race was well organised except for the finish which just simply couldn't cope. Asking runners to wait around and getting very cold on a freezing day was just not acceptable.
In full: I would suggest that the race organisers consider using a chip timing system in the future. This would not be unreasonable given the number of people that entered this race and with Nike sponsorship shold not add to the costs for the runners.

In short: Held up for too long in line at the end to be processed. Was cold and shivery.Should have had more marshalls at end to help this bottleneck of runners.
