In short: Too hilly (steep ups and downs) for really quick times but well run, well supported and scenic.

In short: Small friendly race. Nice countryside. Some challenging hills. Long flat parts and downhills too.
In full: The proximity of the club house to the start/finish is a good thing. Somewhere warm to dwell intil the start. Hot food and drink is served.

Efficient start and well marshalled all the way round. Traffic still on the roads and you know how motorists can be sometimes. You can never quite relax!

Challenging course. Some hills, lots of flatter places in which to stride out a bit, notably the finish - downhill.

Back to the lovely warm club house for coffee and toast served by friendly folk. Clearly took pride in the event making it a pleasure to participate in.

Good medal - I do love a medal.

In short: who decided to put that long hill climb in the middle of the course?
In full: fast in parts but two grinding climbs in the first half and two shorter ones near the end made the last half a tough cookie for me.

In short: My first half marathon after only 6 months of running. Done it for Iain Renneie hospice in 2 hours and 6 or 7 minutes. my number was 269 and have to check the time. Well pleased and will do it again next year.

In short: Challenging hills but not outrageous, lots of friendly marshalls & plenty of places for supporters to slope off to for a couple of hours while you out.
