In short: More undulating than flat, but a great course all the same! In full: This was my first Worksop Half Marathon, and only my second half-marathon ever. All credit to Worksop Harriers and their friends for setting up a great event. It was very well marshalled, went through some terrific scenery in Clumber Park and the other runners I chatted to were very friendly too. I think I read that the course was flat apart from an uphill in the first mile. This is not actually the case - the course is quite undulating, but that did actually make it a bit more interesting. The great bit is that the last mile is downhill all the way! If it hadn't been for that, I think I might have given up at mile 12 :) Date of review: October 31, 2004
In short: Everyone should try this one. In full: Mine and my friends first half marathon, enjoyed every minute of it. weather was great, brilliant atmosphere, can't wait for next year! Date of review: October 31, 2004
In short: One of the best half marathon routes in the country In full: This year's race was blessed with glorious autumn weaher which showed off Clumber Park at its best. Whilst the course is not flat I find that the underlations help concentration and the last thre miles is mostly downhill.
From my point if view this seemed like a well-organised event with plenty of marshalls, water, etc
Will definitely be back next year Date of review: October 31, 2004
