In short: A wonderful sunny day made a PB even better! In full: Organisation was shocking with a capital Sh! Toilet queues, lack of water stations, marshalling dodgy.. I think it showed that it was a Rotary club and not a running club organising it. Only drinks at the end, no banana or cereal bar for £11 is a bit steep.
Having said that I got a very good PB and really enojyed the actual run. it was just everythgin else that was not so good..
In short: Seems more up than down - that can't be right! In full: Lack of any race information with the race number the only let down, so finding the start was a process of trail and several errors. That aside a great scenic race with a good atmosphere Date of review: March 5, 2006
In short: Excellent event and challenging course In full: This was the third time that I had entered and surprisingly I got myself a Half-Marathon PB. Probably due to the fact that I knew what was coming with the hills and made up some time on the flat and downhill sections. It was enjoyable to participate in a low key race (371 Runners) compared to the usual mass participation events. Date of review: March 15, 2005
In short: My first half marathon and longest run ever. Great fun. Ached in new places because of the hills but loved the downhill stretches. I'm definitely hooked and looking for my next event. Date of review: March 10, 2005
In short: A great run, with some tough hills, espescially the first one! Everyone very friendly and well organised In full: A run that cuts through National Trust land for most of 13 miles. A number of hills but some nice down hill sections to enjoy as well.
In short: Was a challenging course, but managed to break my pb by 10 minutes, so pleased with that. Hills were very challenging. Well organised event with a good atmosphere. Date of review: March 8, 2005
