In short: Enjoyable first trail event
In full: Really enjoyed my first trail event, well organised expect for the fact that the registration point and 'running village' were not well enough sign posted.

In short: Thoroughly enjoyable day and very well organised
In full: Chose this to be my first off road run and first ever race as looked to be very well organised and proved to be a good decision!

Had a really enjoyable day, the organisation pre-race and post-race was brilliant as were the marshall’s. The course was well laid out and although more of a challenge than I thought it would be was still thoroughly enjoyable.

Will be keeping an eye out for this event next year.

In short: Challenging but well worth it
In full: Really nice to get out of London for a day; a challenging course but nothing too scary; the hills were demanding at times but what goes up... the marshalls were really supportive, it's a lovely course with fantastic scenery and the kids had a fabulous time on the wall and the bouncy castle. Really enjoyed it!

In short: Quite tough (and dusty!)
In full: I enjoyed this race very much and it was a good challenge. I liked the fact that we started in different 'waves' as it meant the trails weren't too crowded. There's a tough uphill finish but I managed to overtake 2 ladies in the last 250m.

Organisation was excellent except that the runners 'village' was not signposted and was difficult to find. A family friendly event.

I would have preferred to receive number/chip before the race rather than collecting it on the day.

I could probably be tempted to do this again but it's a bit of a long way from Brighton.

OVERALL = VERY GOOD.

In short: Well organised, great run and good value!
In full: I would certainly run this again!
By registering early I paid £19 and got back far more than that with a Rat Race technical t-shirt, wonderful goodie bag and all-day parking (plus the 50% off Ronhill clothes). The course was fairly challenging (but really not too bad)and the marshalls were encouraging (but not overly so). I only missed out on a PB by 20 seconds...drat.
A very good morning out. Thanks RW!

In short: A great scenic race
In full: A great hit with all of the family especially my eldest son (7 years) who managed to get to the top of the climbing wall (which was also free!!). The trail was challenging which was good. The staggered starts also helped with congestion in the car park and registration area. A great event and good value for money with the T Shirt, Goody Bag and Milkshakes/Gels from RW.

In short: Fantastic organisation- great day out!
In full: Despite previous comments on forums about the price of this event- i certainly felt it was value for money!
Lovely scenery around lakes and through the pine forests- quite a few ups and downs but nothing ridiculous. The organisation was superb with warm up sessions and even post race sports massage! (The marshals were fantastic at cheering people on too.)
As for price- I think everyone was given enough goodies to at least match if not exceed the entry fee.

However by far the best bit for me was the fact it can be a day out for everyone to enjoy- runners and non-runners alike there was plenty to keep partners and children amused with mountain biking, free bouncy castles/ climbing walls (and of course the beer tent....)

Will definitely be doing this one again- Thankyou RW!

In short: worth the price
In full: There had been a few bits of feedback commenting on the price of this event. Personally as someone who has run a number of events, I thought it was worth it.

Really well organised, a challenging yet pretty route, marshals were encouraging and to top it off, loads of free For Goodness Shakes. I took away in freebies (that I will use) than I spent on the entrance fee.

Looking forward to next year, a perfect family morning
