In short: Snow, atmosphere, sea views and snooty race reps.
In full: Pros

A fast course with potential to beat PB.
Good atmosphere and beginner friendly race.
The sea makes a nice backdrop.
The massages at the end were fab.
Excellent marshalling throughout the course.
Hot tea available at the end of the race.

Cons

Far to few portaloos.
No secure bagging as described in race pack.
Rude race reps in the Hilton.
Ran out of chocolate early :-(

With more attention to detail this would be an excellent half-marathon. Well done on making the decision to continue it in the snow.

In short: My last Blackpool SRH event...Sadly.
In full: Thats it. There are so many reasons as to why I will not spend my running £ on one of these events again, but broadly speaking, the quality, attention to detail and organisation just is not there. I'll stick with club organised events in future.

In short: No thanks to the Hilton Hotel!
In full: Registration was at a hotel from which we were rudely ejected when trying to use toilets. Had to use horrible public toilets outside - over 1,600 toilets and only a handful of potaloos. Not what I would expect for a race costing almost £20 to enter. Was shouted at before the race for sitting down on a chair and shouted at afterwards by a marshall for not collecting my water, mars bar and tacky medal quickly enough. Shall not be doing this one again.

In short: 2nd time I've ran this one
In full: Well organised again, thanks to all the marshals for encouraging shouts and the volunteers at the end handing out the goodies, the medal is brilliant as is the T-Shirt Great value for money,no problems underfoot thanks to gritting on the ups and downs, only slight slush in places on 1st lap, then clear on 2nd lap and sunshine for some at the finish

In short: OK took 6 mins off PB so pleased but there seemed to be oraganisation not the best!
In full: Hope some of the fee went to a good cause again this year. Good atmosphere - those who braved the snow to get there shouldn't have been too disappointed. However, the water station at halfway was woefully inadequate but the one at 3 / 10 miles well stocked. Couple of narrow sections caused bunching and upset rhythm a bit.

In short: Well done to the organisers - almost snowbound
In full: Good race but special mention to the marshalls and organisers. After heavy overnight snow they could have given up on it but really pulled out all the stops.
Enjoyed the whole experience and a PB as well!
