In short: Not enough went wrong...try harder Stockport!!!!
In full: Absolutely brilliant, from Chariots of Fire to Benny Hill about sums it up. I broke my pb set in Llandudno on a perfect May day on a flat course, I'm still nto quite sure how. Probably something to do with the little quiet smile that you run this race with.

It really, really shouldnt work, it is hilly, apart from the park the scenery is nothing special and it is in winter and the weather is invariably rubbish. And yet, it stands out as one of the races of the year. Stockport really put so much effort into this that they deserve the good reviews they keep on getting.

I've put it down as beginner friendly just for the superb support shown around the course by the marshals. It has to be said those hills are tough. New Zealand road seemed a bit easier this year though, maybe as I could fully hear the sounds of Tony cheering everybody in by name in the park.

Yes the goody bad is comedy gold (it really is rubbish and brilliant) and it is another excellent t-shirt. But I try to take those items out the equation when rating races as they are really just the sprinkling on the cake. What makes this race and a few similarly sized races like it stand out are the superb organisation that is all based around giving the runners the best experience possible.

Thank you again Stockport for another fantastic race.

In short: Great fun, can't wait for next year.
In full: First time at the Stockport 10 and everything I heard about it was true.

Ran like clockwork, marshalls fantastic, good route and a nice tech t-shirt!

Can't wait to come back.

In short: Cracking race
In full: First time I've run this and I'm glad I did! Excellent from start to finish - particularly loved the MC, the firework start, the superb encouragement from the marshals, and being warmed up afterwards by a bowl of hot pot in the club house for £1.50! Goody bag was err.. eccentric (in a good way), with great long sleeve tech t shirt.

This'll definitely be on the calender for next year.

In short: Best Race of The Year
In full: Love, love, love this race. 3rd time of doing it todat and it never fails to impress. From the torch bearing firing a rocket to start the race, to Benny Hill accompanying us as we ran round the track, to the incredibly enthusiastic marshalls, to the hills, wonderful tech t shirt and the, again, bizarre goody bag (Who else would include a sticker with Stockport 10, Rubbish but Brilliant)

Put simply, Stockport Harriers are a fantastic club and put on the best, friendliest and most fun race on the year. 11/10, see you next year
