In short: Great PB potential
In full: Excellent race. Well placed water and Lucozade stations and the option of following a pacemaker.

The best part for me was the stadium finish! Knocked 11 minutes off my PB so will def be back next year.

In short: A regular fixture for me!
In full: Even though I find the Reading Half route pretty charmless being completely urban, that is more than made up for by the brilliant atmosphere, the excellent crowd suupport, and the fantastic finish in the Madejski Stadium.

The Lucozade Sport stations this year were an excellent addition. They and the water stations were well and competently manned.

My main complaint last year was the disorganisation once you got out of the stadium; how you could easily miss your medal/goody bag/ space blanket/whatever. As far as I was concerned that was sorted this year and it all worked like clockwork.

And thank heavens for the final portaloos on the start line!

This year was made extra special for me as both my daughters started the race with me. Great!

A really good event. I'll be back again. :)

In short: Well organised for a big race...
In full: Too many runners for me to fully enjoy it, but a good race with a great atmosphere.

Did any of you see the army dudes pulling a landrover? They weren't doing badly either... and for sure weren't last! Good job guys!

In short: Fast flat PB territory
In full: Knocked a whopping 7 mins off my PB at Reading 2010.

The worst part is the drag from 10 miles onwards along the dual carriageway and then down the annoying road that takes you away from the Madjeski.

The stadium crowds more than make up for it though and inspired a sprint finish.

Thanks Reading! : )

In full: That was my first RHM. I was a bit nervous but the atmosphere and overall organisation was amazing. Crowds, Madejsky stadium and support during the race was really surprising. Shame I got knee injury but I will definitely be going there next year!

In short: GSreat finish!
In full: This is a good race for all abilities, great support on course and superb in the stadium.
Such a shame that you have to run round a traffic cone in the 12th mile, between mile 12 and 12.75 the course is a real let down but the rest is great. Minor gripe with a well run event.

In short: Was my 2nd. Bring on RHM11
In full: And once again, Reading Half Marathon shines as one of the best races I've done. The other being last years Reading Half.

The organisation is just faultless - even when you get your bag after, there are people to tell you to have your number clearly visible and as a result, your bag is ready for you pretty much as soon as you get to the desk.

The route is nicely challening with a couple of hills, and made the excellent race that it is by the fantastic support around the whole course.

The finish is a full on sprint to the huge cheers of thousands of people in the stadium.

I can't finish this without mentioning one of the marshalls who, as you run through the uni could be heard shouting "mind the humps, get your Sunday morning humps". A small example of the genuine fun and passion that all the marshalls have.

Once again, a brilliant race. My only niggle - the silver medal of 2009 was much better than the Jim'll Fix it medal of 2010!

See you in Green Park in March 2011!

In short: This Class Half is always Full
In full: One of the best half marathons in the country. Faultless organisation and marshals, great shuttle bus to and from race. Vocal crowd and superb stadium finish.
Would have to agree with fellow reviewer, the last three miles are the worst you can see the Madjeski but the route seems to snake around it and takes forever to get there!

One minor point where was my free massage? Said in the joining instructions that there was a free massage tent I couldn't find it and was forced to pay for one off the firefighters.
