In short: Excellent race. Great scenery, fast flat course and well organised In full: Congratulations to Doug Morris's family and Oswestry for still organising such a good race despite their loss. And respect to the runners (apart from the person with the beeping heart rate monitor - you know who you are) for respecting the minute's silence so well. Date of review: September 9, 2007

In short: Well organised, worth doing and extra large socks!!! In full: This is the second time i've done this race and the standard set for organisation is one of the best around, so I am never surprised that this race fills up THREE MONTHS in advance of race day and sales on ebay for entries hit the £60.00 mark. The course itself is not flat as some people think and the gradual climb after half way can be a real test. Yet it is still possible to get a PB if you know your way around. The finish was a bit confusing with the goody bags being situated half way up the road.though the sleeping bag sized socks made an interesting conversation topic for the journey home [they make excellent dusters]. Nevertheless, will be back next year if I remember to enter in time. Date of review: October 5, 2006
