In short: Turned out nice again
In full: Superbly organised, with marshals in all the right places, and lots of facilities for a race of this size. The same faces are there every year - lots of old friends to see and to race against. Well done to Dorking and Mole Valley AC for organising this race.

In short: Forking hill
In full: Looked forward to this run and got what I expected having done it the year before. Dorking and Mole Valley is a plush area, the course is a challenging one for those of you who like such stuff, the atmosphere for me is always great at these races due to being a running club member and the organisation seemed very slick.
Thanks to the marshalls as always and it's the only time I've not been jealous of winning a team prize.

In short: Do this race if you can
In full: This is a very well organised race through nice countryside. Surprisingly I got bored at mile 6 probably because I was in a desert of runners, they were all a long way in front or behind but that's just the way it goes. The marshals were great and knew what they were doing and the hose at a water station was very welcome. The thing I like the most about this race was the run up to the finish, this year I was totally knackered and oblivious to the crowd support until two little girls screamed very enthusiastic encouragement at me and it gave me the strength to speed up. No idea who they were but they'll make fantastic marshals.

In short: well organished event with scenic views over the countryside
In full: My first run after completing the Edinburgh Marathon so it was a really good gentle ease back into running and a well marshalled event Thanks Dorking 10.
Only dissappointment was that they ran out of size small/ meduim t-shirt. But they are going to send them to you when back in stock.

In short: WIll be back next year...
In full: Was slightly alarmed at the start by the number of club runners - the read of coming last in a race was looming - but happy to say the course wasn't as undulating as I was expecting (although the hill around mile 9 was tough) and managed a PB for 10 miles inside 90 mins, so very pleased. Well organised, supportive marshalls, easy parking, and nice to have chip timing (although like someone else has already commented I timed myself around 20 secs inside the official time). My new Garmin also measured the course 10 miles exactly and also every mile marker was spot on so nothing but praise from me for the orgnaisers.

In short: Thanks
In full: Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers for another well-run, friendly event. Very well done for getting the results out so quickly.

Just one question. How did the chip timing work? I timed myself from crossing the start line to crossing the finish, and recorded 23 seconds less than the official time shown in the results. Did the official time start from the hooter and end when somebody walked up to me some way past the finish and scanned my chest? If so, the times are far from accurate, especially for those of us who started towards the rear and took time to get to the actual 'start'.

Still, at my age and my pace, this is all getting a bit academic...

In full: Well done DMVAC - another excellent Dorking 10. Loads of marshalls doing their jobs well plus a very dishy information desk lady!
