In short: Felt a fraud running without costume but a really nice race on a really nice sunny winter morning
In full: 15 minutes from home which always helps. Unusual distance so PBs are almost guaranteed unless you were slower last year. Can't comment on the quality of the prize, two weeks to wait for that.

I felt a bit of a fraud in t-shirt and shorts so I felt obliged to let Santa overtake me in the last thirty metres.

In full:
Loved seeing the effort people made in dressing up.....Ideal for first time racers as there is no pressure just the pressure to have fun fun fun.

In short: 1st Class Christmassy run
In full: Good to see more people making the effort to dress up this year, there was a real fancy dress presence which was great!

Really well marshalled and good police support. Course it mildly undulating with a lightning quick 1st mile, I always do my fastest 5k of the year on this course even in full Santa gear.

Nice pud and spot prize of some chocolates! Only minor gripe is they could do with something other than water at the finish, squash at least would be nice after breathing through a santa beard for 30 minutes :)

In short: A good run and gets you into the spirit of things
In full: By this time I am already sick of christmas, but the atmosphere and friendliness of the race makes it well worth doing, even dressing up for!!! Only gripe is the cars, as usual everyone is in a hurry to be somewhere and some cars were practically nudging the runners heels even tooting them. How rude and totally inconsiderate. But organisation was great and marshalls were encouraging. Suffice to say I now have my christmas pud for the day.
