In short: A good event blessed with glorious late autumn weather
In full: this was a race of two halves. The first half was nothing special, with a short loop round an industrial estate, followed by a long sretch along a road. The scenic second half was off road and absolutely glorious on such a nice day, with the sun making all the autumn colours more vivid. Would it not be possible to cut out the initial loop and make the off road part a bit longer? I thought the parking was well organised and liked the pud rather than another teeshirt. I really enjoyed this event and hope to be back next year. Thanks organisers!

In short: Debut pud last year and a big well done to HRC on a better race this time
In full: Living in Heanor like I do and one who spends a lot of time running around Shipley this was a nice course with something for everyone.

Shame about the loop around the industrial estate but without that there would be no pud I guess!

Weather this year helped but much better course than last year, only 7s slower than my PB and don't feel it is a PB course with the nasty finish up from the lake.

Well marshalled as always and the Pud makes a nice change from a t-shirt usually on offer.

In short: This was a well organised race.
In full: Ciruiting an industrial estate was not a brilliant way to start a race. However, this was a well organised event, the second half of which was trail based and more interesting.
