In short: Nice if challenging route, excellent organisation and marshalling - nice memnto as well. In full: First time in this one, thoroughly enjoyed it. Challenging but fair course, not a PB circuit unless you have a blinder (- I didn't!)Great organisation, well marshalled and the "paperweight" type memento was a nice change. Would definitely do it again. Well done Billericay Striders... Date of review: November 7, 2010
In short: Really great race; a great way ti soend a Sunday morning!! In full: Once of the best 10ks I've ever done. Organisation was fantastic and the marshalls were very supportive (and there were plenty of them). Really liked the memento too. Date of review: November 7, 2010
In short: A good well supported event In full: The weather added a little more to the challenge of this excellent run. Always well supported, well organised and well marshelled. The course starts with some small up hills, then drops for a faster middle section, then a final uphill finish. The prize varies every year and I quite like the mug, as I have my hot tea I will remember the wet and windy conditions!
In short: The weather forecast said it was going to be mild. In full: The photos from the event says it all. The gale force winds between 7-8km, the torrential rain, standing water on the roads and wet leaves everywhere. I loved it.
I am not so sure the runners who were led out to the start line 10 minutes before the front runners loved it as much. I heard nobody complaining about the conditions - mind you all I could hear was teeth chattering and the rain bucketing down.
A special thank you and well done to the Billericay marshalls around the course for all their support and encouragement. I look forward to next year! Date of review: November 2, 2009
