In short: below average run. poor marking, lack of water, very poor goody bag, only saving grace for this race was the weather and friendly people of liverpool
In full: only two water stations which both had run out of water before we got to them. some people at the back were getting seriously dehydrated. some kind liverpool ladies brought water from their homes which was very much appreciated. the goody bag was very poor and i was dissappointed that there was no t shirt. we travelled from northern ireland for the race but dont think i would make the effort again as there was no real atmosphere at the beginning or end of the race. not many people on the route either to cheer you on but thankyou to those who did. all in all it was like a sunday training run with a few more people about. forgot to mention that the mile markers were very hard to spot.

In short: I enjoyed it. Buses were swift. Car Park Slow. Goody bag poor. Weather great
In full: After running the Great North West Half a few weeks ago, this one was a delight. However, the weather helped. The late start is frustrating. Especially after an early advertised start and the clocks going forward. Course was unexpectedly hilly, but I don't mind that as I used it for a London warm up. I don't do these things for the goody bag, but it was a waste of a plastic bag. The pride of having completed it is important, so a T shirt is always a nice addition.

In short: Disappointed with run, hope its improves for next year
In full: l've entered many liverpool runs over the last twelve years and this was probably the worst one. It was not as well organised as other runs have been. NO T SHIRT, which was very annoying. Hanging around at the start did not help. l enjoyed the route but where were the 'landmarks'? I'm not sure if l will do next year's run.

In short: Poorly organised, chip system not working and a change in the course for the worse. Shame really as 2006 made me return but 2007 won't.
In full: They changed the course for the worse, I know this was caused by road works but I can't believe the changes where the only options open, the course once out of the park was dull with no major landmarks being passed even though you are running in the city of culture. The speed bumps down one road where an accident waiting to happen. I used this as a pre London warm up as the 2006 race was well organized and worth the money. However this year I find that you got less in your goody bag (No T-shirt as advertised), the chip system seems to have not worked as my clock time and chip time where the same, 5 minutes out from what was on my Garmin watch, which is disheartening when you are using this to try and estimate your full marathon time. The water stations where to few and not manned very well at all, the marshal’s showed no encouragement to the runners, and seemed to have the attitude that it was a chore being there so early on a Sunday morning, there was no pace markers this year and no markings at the start for anyone planning on running slower than 1 hour 45mins, making this an intimidating field for beginners or back of the pack runners. There was no atmosphere at the start area, and the start was delayed as they where still loading buses from the car park 15 minutes away at 9am although the start was organized for 9:30am. I feel this is a real shame as when it was backed by Adidas and Flora last year it was a real joy, great atmosphere, sports drinks at water stations, a great goody bag as a souvenir and plenty of support around the scenic course. I am originally from Liverpool and traveled over 4 miles to return for the race last Sunday and it pains me to say that unless it has a bigger backer next year I won't be doing the journey again. I run for a small local running club in March and I have to say I have seen better organization and atmosphere at some of our events when it has only cost me £5 to enter. So to have paid £16 and then not even have my true time recorded I feel that this is not acceptable for such a large recognized event.
