In short: Totally flat course with very good pb potential - don't give up when the wind is against you! In full: Although it can be punishing when running directly into a head wind, hang in there. I was surprised how re-energised I felt as soon as the course took a more favourable direction.
The race was well marshalled and the encouraging support was much appreciated. Date of review: March 6, 2006
In short: A good, easy race for first-time halfers In full: Friendly and well organised. Easy flat course, but the wind was a killer at times (mile 11 was particularly nasty). I enjoyed it and will be back next year. Date of review: March 6, 2006
In short: Nice flat course - very cold biting wind but I did a PB so I'm happy! In full: Friendly, well organised and nice scenery. Wind was cold but the sun was glorious. Would do it again. Date of review: March 5, 2006
In short: Nice sunny day, good organisation and a PB as well! Brilliant In full: A bit windy but still a nice race through pancake flat fenland. Small and friendly and a good race. Thanks to the marshalls as always Date of review: March 5, 2006
In short: Flat enough for pb. Spring sunshine made you forget the wind. In full: Friendly and efficient organisation. If you like the big skies of the Fens, the scenery is attractive. Hardly any traffic to worry about and anyway very well marshalled. Date of review: March 5, 2006
In short: Great race, flat as you like, wind could've been a problem as it's very exposed but held off!! In full: Thoroughly recommend this one if you want a PB. knocked 3 mins off mine (set 8 years ago!) and 7 mins off best since I returned to running last year!! Date of review: March 7, 2005
