In short: My local In full: Second time I have run this and the course was totally different (in a good way!). Good little race and starts and finishes near to the local fete and a choice of pubs, what more could you want for a bank holiday monday! Finish area was a bit disorganised, didn't realise I was supposed to stay in line so ducked out, then had to get back in again for my result to be recorded, so will have dropped a few places! In short: Flat, fast course - nice event In full: A flat, fast course complete with a village fete - what more could you ask for. Could even enter on the day. Well marshalled around the course. Well worth turning up for & I`ll be back for some more. Well done Reading Road Runners. Date of review: May 6, 2009

In short: Very Enjoyable In full: Very enjoyable and definitely one for a PB. Organisation was good and very well marshalled although I thought those coming in around the 50 minute mark looked like they had a long wait to get their medals!
Very Very good value at a tenner though and was well worth the trip from South Wales.

In short: Nice & friendly local race In full: In general I liked the new course although like a few others thought it came up a bit short. This was especially noticable in the last KM which was a good hundred metres short. Date of review: May 6, 2009

In full: According to my Garmin watch the race was the best part of a whole 1k short. So before accepting a great personal best despite not running since early Jan, I would be interested to read what others found. Apart from that, the finish line was a joke with people not actually able to finish the race (although luckily i missed the congestion). Good race and marshalling with good support in the main. In short: A good race, course allowed for even pace running In full: A good well marshalled race. The finish area definitely needs sorting though. The time on the clock as I crossed the line was 56 minutes. The person behind me in the funnel had run 57 mins 30 and the next person just over the hour. They didn't appreciate the significance of staying in line. A shorter funnel would maybe clear the area quicker. But hey it was a good fun race, great for a Bank Holiday Monday and I appreciate the organisers giving up their day so I could run. Thanks to all. Date of review: May 5, 2009

In short: Pleasant way to spend a Bank Holiday. In full: In traditional Bank Holiday weather this was a good run out. WEll marshalled and some good support out on the course. Only criticism would be the long, long queue to cross the line - I cant help feeling that the results may not be quite right. Date of review: May 4, 2009
