In short: An excellent training race
In full: A very well organised event and ideal as training for Vienna or another spring marathon (!!). Everything about this low-key event is well thought out - from the well-marshalled course, with three loops to keep things interesting, beautiful scenery, well-placed water stations. It was interesting to see so many people running who had been at the Surrey Spitfire the week before, these two events certainly help get through the long-long training runs.

In short: Lovely run in the surrey countryside. Superbly organised and marshalled. Enough bumps to keep it challenging.

In short: Enjoyable race, well organised, excellent value.
In full: A pleasant race, with some nice scenery. I was a bit surprised to see it described elsewhere as "fairly flat", although it's never exactly hilly, it certainly rarely stays level! Marshalls all very jolly and a nice crowd at the end cheering runners through.

In short: Well run, well marshalled race.
In full: The course was excellent but it was so hard to turn left at 15 miles and carry on for the 21 instead of right for an early finish. What you need in these circumstances is good support and the marshals were top notch.

My thanks to everyone who gave up their time to organise the race. I'll be back if I decide to run another spring marathon.

In short: A beautiful morning out in Surrey
In full: Firstly, a bargain race with plenty of marshalls to keep it running smoothly. It was a terrifically sunny day and I had a picnic with the family at the finish which rounded it off nicely.

This never seems like a race and around the first loop there are always lots of people happy to have a chat on the way.

The leisure centre continue to make good money relieving me of £1.70 to take a shower!
