In short: A 3 lap undulating course that demands that you have to put effort into it, well ran as usual by Woodstock Harriers.

In short: 3 tough laps. Watching people finish and still having another lap to go made it harder still
In full: Starts with a hill, then there's another one - a longer one, and then later there's another. And then you do your second lap! Scenery is lovely and the atmosphere was great but despite having done longer races just prior to this me and my friend really struggled on this one. If you're expecting the uphills it's probably not so bad.

In short: Nice way to justify the Saturday evening drinks! Someone has a sense of humour if they really think this is an 'undulating' course. Surely they can't have missed the 1.5 mile climb at the end?

In short: First time I'd done a race on a Saturday night
In full: But worked out really well. I tend to prefer off road races, but running along the lanes in this race was very pleasant.

I didn't think the hills were that bad. I knocked over 10 mins off of my last 10 miler. which was much more hillier.

Overall a nice friendly and relaxed race, quite a few running clubs were present I reckon

In short: If thats is undulating I am not running hilly.
In full: Organisers should review the start and finish location. Apart from that I will be doing it again next year.

In short: Lovely country lanes and some hard hills
In full: This is my first 10M so I have few comparisons. The setting is lovely - lanes through the Oxfordshire countryside - and if the sun had been shining just a touch more then it would have been really beautiful. The hill at 7.5 - 9 miles is the hard one, but you know this because you come down it at the start! Several challenging smaller hills during the race. Good water stops, great facilities (showers, changing rooms), plenty of parking and enhusiastic organisers. A small field, lots of club vests, so I guess this is not (yet) a course for a real beginner. All in all a lovely race.

In short: a suprisingly hilly , but quick paced race
In full: perfect weather, not many runners and a challenging hilly route through very scenic villages and woodlands.3 very well placed water stations and plenty of marshalls and spectators cheering us on along the way. I got a PB for 10M and also beat my PB for 10k and 12k so all in all....a very enjoyable (but fast and hilly...)outing.Definately a must for next year.

In short: Undulating? A euphemism for hilly.....
In full: Undulating is an interesting descroption of this course. Admittedly, I do most of my training along the Thames path, but I would describe Woodstock as hilly. Funny how some courses appear to be only up-hill! Beautiful scenery and kindly, encouraging stewards made up for the hills. I also managed a chatting PB in managing to talk to my friend - uninterrupted by hills - for 1hr 58 minutes! I would do this again as it is great training for the NY Marathon.
