In short: tougher than I expected
In full: an undulating course on the 1st lap that suddenly becomes hilly on the 2nd lap!!
Scenery is nice tree lined roads however, the view does get a bit monotonous after 13 miles of the same. Really nice to run a whole race without seeing a single car

In short: Well organised and fast, undulating, two-lap summer half
In full: A good, medium-fast, summer half. I have regularly done this as a warm-up for an autumn marathon. The two-lap, course pleasantly winds through woodland and quiet roads. It's all tarmac, but only just. Possibly a bit too undulating and twisty for a PB, but it always attracts a very high quality field, so the fast atmosphere may push you to one anyway. There's a good mix of fast club runners and serious fun-runners.
Start and finish facilities are excellent, good showers and a pool. Parking is a long trek from the start - make sure you have everything with you when you leave the car. Dry, secure bag storage helps.
Watch out for the steep bank on and off the school playing field just after the start and just before the finish.

In short: Lovely scenery but watch out for golf balls !
In full: Very well organised although the walk from the car park was pretty long especially having to listen to my father-in-law pointing out much nearer places to park as we walked :-)

Run itself was lovely and picturesque. It was quite difficult running past some of those pubs ;-)

I was wary at the mention of hills so started off at a reasonable pace and glad I did as it was pretty hard going by the end. The only thing that nearly spoilt it for me was almost being decapitated by a golf ball. I saw a blur bounce right in front of me but thankfully it bounced over my head missing me by a whisker. Not sure the organisers can do much about it I guess but could have been very serious.

A lot of people seemed to be struggling with the hills and the heat by the end so perhaps a few more water stops might be prudent but other than that can't fault it. Great day !

In short: Loved it!
In full: Fantastic race, great organisation and just about on the right side of challenging with the hilly nature of the course. Nice medal. Really enjoyed it today, thanks to all involved, especially Metallica, AC/DC and the Eynsham Road Runner who (unwittingly) paced me round, Johnny Ball for the water!, and the fantastic marshals! See you next year!

In short: Would do it again but more water and better directions for parking
In full: This was a really enjoyable race - I hope I was not the only one who found it tough going. Could have done with more water - wasn't enough at the stations and probably needed water stations every two miles not every 3.
Car parking - I understand that parking at the school would not be wise but perhaps starting in the area by the car park and finishing at Caldicott might be an option - but can see the pro's and con's (perhaps I just need to arrive earlier!!)

In short: Seamless, again.
In full: Hills hurt and it's always hot in august but this does not detract from an excellent event.
