In short: A great opportunity for a fast 10 mile time. The 3 lap circuit makes it slightly boring. The marshalls were very good and extremely encouraging. Will enter again due to close distance from home. Date of review: February 11, 2009
In short: Good club race and a fast course In full: Well done Kent for getting the race on after all the snow. Was great to be a part of such a high standard race (30 runners under 60mins) which shows how fast the course is. Good facilities but have to agree that getting water to the runners has to be more of a priority next time. But see you next year! Date of review: February 11, 2009
In short: Flat, fast and furious! Great Marshals, just a shame about the water In full: Big thanks to the organisers for keeping this event alive where so many others failed. A special thanks to all the marshals for the much needed motivation all the way around and for keeping many an ignorant motorist at bay. More water next time please. Lucky for me I had a spare bottle in my bag. Date of review: February 11, 2009
In short: Fast, flat course. Marshalls were fantastic, very supportive & encouraging - thank you all so much. Downside for me was NO water at the end, which is poor for a 10 miler, regardless of the weather. Date of review: February 9, 2009
In short: Speedy race, worth getting up for on a Sunday morning. In full: Marshalls did an excellent job, especially dealing with the traffic. The course had definite PB potential. Organisation would have been spot if it wasn't for the poor water distribution. Date of review: February 9, 2009
In short: Good Race for Serious Runners In full: You wouldnt do this race for the scenary but it was weel organised and friendly. I smashed my PB so I have gotta be happy with that. Date of review: February 9, 2009
In short: Ronseal In full: This was an unpretentious no-frills proper road race, geared towards the serious runner (county championship incorporated) to which a few slower types such as myself were able to tag along.
Well organised and marshalled with good facilities at Race HQ. Date of review: February 9, 2009
In short: Very Fast Race - Organisers did great job making sure course was safe. In full: A big thanks to the organisers who did a good job making sure the course was safe and succeeded in staging the race when so many others were cancelled this weekend. You don't run this race for the view, you run it to get a fast time - good for a PB. WIll definitely be doing it next year.
In short: Scenery dull but Marshals were good. In full: Water distribution was poor - none available on finishing race, or not ready on first lap round, Lap nature makes it a little difficult. Marshals very good and organisation was good. Facilities good at school.
In short: Good Training In full: There were a fair number of club runners which from past experience usually means the race is worth running. It might have only been 3 laps of suburbia, but I felt it was a good competitive warm up to the Brighton Half marathon in a couple of weeks. Worth doing Date of review: February 8, 2009
