In short: great race well organised- shame about the weather!!
In full: Was dissappointed with the time but how strong was that wind?!!! Helpful marshalls and adequate water stations-well done to all the organisers. Would try again and hope for better weather!

In short: Truly amazing marshals.
In full: It was bad enough to run in those conditions but to stand in them and still greet everyone with a smile?? Wow.

Well organised and very pleasant marathon. You can't expect good weather in December, but that was something else!

In short: Full marks to the organisers!
In full: This race must take a lot of organising. Add to that, the weather this year and I'm doubly impressed. OK, so the parking frustrated me when I was passed from one full car park to another until I was sent back to the second one I'd visited...who let me park there after all. But I enjoy this race immensely...and I only ever get to run it as a last minute replacement in a relay team.

In short: Despite the awful weather I am glad I did it.
In full: The organisation for the race was faultless, with well organised parking; the race HQ near to the start and finish; a prompt start; a well marked course; a good medal; and very good marshalling, with support from the Police. My thanks to the organisers and all the volunteers.

I thought the three lap format was fine and the relay runners were welcome company.

The scenery varies from the open countryside, to the urban sprawl of some of Luton's larger estates. For the most part the course was traffic free.

As mentioned by others, the weather was awful and I suspect that many runners had the same experience as I did of a decent first lap, a challenging second lap and a truly hard final one. The rain was heavy at times, but the real problem was the wind.

The weather was probably the reason that I missed a PB, but on a better day the course would have PB potential. Given the conditions I wasn't disappointed, but pleased that I had made it round.

I would certainly like to have a go at running a marathon leg next year and maybe attempt the marathon again sometime, subject to what the long distance forecast predicts!

In short: Can't quite believe how great the marshals are - phenominal. Always a great way to finish the year and I'll be back. 3 laps are tough but try it you'll enjoy it if you don't go out too fast. I always expect weather at Luton and I'm never disappointed

In short: A brilliant marathon with the best marshalls ever!
In full: This was a toughie but thoroughly enjoyable. The weather was apalling but nothing can be done about that. The course isn't as bad as I was expecting (I'd heard it was really hilly) and in slightly better weather I think I could run a PB here. A special mention to the amazing Marshalls they did a brilliant job with smiles on their faces and a frienly word when things got hard.

In short: Im sure at one stage I saw dorothy from the Wizard of oz!!!
In full: Yes it was that windy! I was unsure at first about the three lap format but it worked well. Marshalls encouraged all the way round despite being like drowned Rats.Nice to see the winners flying past on lap two. (freaks of nature if you ask me) well done Luton.Worth the 300 mile round trip from wakefield.

In short: What an underated event, clockwork organisation, good course great format
In full: This was my 14th and one of the most enjoyable. The organisation could not be faulted, plent of parking and race started on the dot. A HUGE thank you to the marshalls, I would not let my family stand out in the weather they had too. Loved the three lap format - for me anyway easier on the brain than the legs. The relay always make sure there's people around you. T-Shirt and a medal and a smile when you finished. I'll be back
