In short: A really special event, challenging, scenic and well organised
In full: This is always a special event and superbly organised. Edinburgh organisers could learn a thing or two from this one. Even the pouring rain could not dampen the spirit of this event.

In short: Challenging course, great scenery (apparently) & brilliant organisation
In full: Great course - only one major hill, the little undulations are just teasers! Disappointed not to be able to see the scenery through the murk & rain, but will have to go back to see it next time. Shame the rain kept most of the spectators away, but cycling supporters were fantastic. Best organised race I've been to & lovely friendly atmosphere before & afterwards. Great value race too - you get proper hot food afterwards plus lively band (should you have any energy left for jumping around) & the t-shirts are very nice.

In short: Great organisation. Very wet. Scenic.
In full: Organisation, down to small details, was the best I have experienced. The course was undulating but the last 6 miles is downhill then flat. I found it easier than Edinburgh. Not much support along the route although a few diehards did come out in the rain which was very welcome especially in the more remote parts of the route. Marshalls were great - standing in the rain. Plenty of water and sports drinks.

In short: Wet but good fun
In full: Relatively quiet race - the rain did not help. The supporters that were there were great. Extremely good organization, good food, decent goodie bag, T-shirt and medal, even a good band playing at the post-race party. Would definitely do it again.

In short: It was wet (very) , the hills at 17 -21 miles were hard but the organisation was excellent - enough drinks, food, transport etc. Rain meant lack of supporters but everyone focussed and friendly on run.
