In short: Great race. Very quick start with a few killer hills along the way. Knocked nearly 6 mins off my PB. Well organised. Could do with more time at start after bus drop off. Date of review: October 4, 2010

In short: Amazing scenery shame I couldn't stop to enjoy it In full: Has to be one to the best marathons in the UK, if not the best.
Everything ran like clock work from entry to free food at the end. Can not fault it.
Shame it isn't in the half term week and my wife and kids would have loved it too. Date of review: October 4, 2010

In short: Gorgeous but hard In full: Loved loved loved this race. It was almost perfect. Amazing scenery, I loved the start and finish and most of the race felt like the kind of route you dream of running on. Just those hills........ but I guess they made it interesting. In short: God, that was hard - but fantastic. In full: Great scenery - though not tons of the loch. Very steep downhill for the first few miles, then undulating with some hard hills, including one that seemed to carry on for 3 or 4 miles. Organisation was really good and the finish area is fantastic. Also, they put on a 400m race for under 5s (plus 5K and 10K) so something for all the family. Date of review: October 3, 2010
