In short: Marshalls and Hoodie make the pain worthwhile
In full: The only thing that lets this race down is the parking, and we can't blame the organisers for that! The best pre-London race by far.

In short: The Hoodie made it all worthwhile!
In full: A hard race for me, as I am not a natural hill runner.....and have to admit by mile 17 had had enough of "undualting scenery" however, the hoodie was calling me and kept me going right up to that final spurt at the end ! Have done Stamford twice and strangly enough found that easier but we are all different....not sure I would put myself through it if I wasn`t doing a spring marathon but then again ask me in a few days time and the answer may be different
Thank you to all the marshalls for their excellent work and encouragment, sadly i missed the treats at the end and only found the water station but that was my fault...so pleased with the hoodie all thoughts of anything else went out of the window!

In short: Marshalling masterclass
In full: Superb marshalling all the way around the course – even those charged with the difficult task of controlling the traffic on the narrow bridges offered words of encouragement to the runners.

The hoody was a very welcome extra, and judging by the number being worn immediately post-race, very widely popular.

Admittedly the last half mile was challenging, but again it was superbly marshalled, and made the best use of the space available to the organisers – there was not any other obvious area to site the finish, or to gain access to it. Plus, there was water, isotonic drink, fresh fruit and jelly babies at the end – what more could you ask for?

Pre race toilet facilities and parking are often going to be an issue, but these cannot be considered faults with this event.

Bedford Harriers and all of their volunteers should be thoroughly proud of their achievement.

In short: Great preparation for London
In full: The whole event was overshadowed for me by one rude official( or at least I think she was an official, although she was not dressed accordingly. One of the marshal's directed myself and others to the wrong side of the road, it happens. However this woman spoke to us as if she was speaking to a class of 5 year olds, totally inappropriately. Ruined my day.
