In short: Hot Hills
In full: Same conditions as last year, but knocked 5 mins off my time. Some poor mile markers (what happened to mm6??). Good support from the crowd, and marshalls were excellent. Can we have water in bottles next year??

In short: Heat, hills and wilting runners
In full: The fabulous scenery couldn't disguise a tough, undulating course on a hot day. I thought I would melt at mile 4 as we took in the views across the New Forest and frequent water stations were essential. Stampeding ponies added a little extra challenge to the race. But the organisation was superb and the support from local people was very good.

In short: A lovely day out...
In full: Well, weekend actually as we stayed down for the whole weekend this year.

I would always recommend this race and today with the great organisation, lovely weather, lots of sponges and waterstations and great support is exactly the reason why.

Thank you very much :-)

The only downside, not in the organisers control, was the two or three idiots who decided they didn't want to wait in the traffic and did three point turns (nearly squishing runners) to then travel along in the same direction, scattering more people - run em through with a rusty bayonet I say.

In short: a lovely day just a bad race time for me but the whole organisation brilliant
In full: 10 minutes slower than my decent time. I got caught out by the heat and very sore blistered feet. Never mind always another chance sorry to the Isle of Wight runner who stopped dead in my tracks. Thanks to the lady who pushed me along after and kept me going.

In short: At last under 2 hours.
In full: Excellent race. Knocked 10 minutes of my PB. Plenty of water stations and sponges and the odd welcome drenching from a hose pipe.
Really enjoyed this one, despite the hills which were not too bad. A bit left in the tank at the end, may be the full Marathon next year.
Thanks to the marshalls and the supporters.
It may be me, but the mile markers were not as good as they could have been.
Cheers.

In short: Beautiful Race, beatuifully organised
In full: Hills? There are a few short uphills but nothing you need a rope and crampons for.

Thouroughly recommended.

In short: Best thing was the organisation and the water and sponges
In full: As my first half, it was the hardest race I have done. It was hot, and the hills just made it harder for me personally. The Scenery and the support and the organisation was second to none in my opinion. Unless I get more hill training in next year I'll probaby choose and alternative, flatter race
