In short: A bit on the expensive side, especially as we only get a mug

In short: Well organised run as usual!
In full: Slow by Hampton Court on 1st lap of 16 miler as course was more crowded with slower 8 milers. This was hampered by bushes overhanging the path but otherwise a good run - see you in March

In short: Great prep for NY
In full: I really enjoyed this run. It was flat, scenic (the first half of each lap anyway), well marshalled, plenty of drinks stands, and good spirit amongst runners. I actually broker 2 hours for half marathon distance (first time ever) and comfortably broker 2hrs 30mins for the 16 miles. So nice to run a race and still have most of the Sunday to enjoy afterwards as well.

In short: Fine for a dander
In full: Not bad, did it as a warm up for New York and the only grumble I had was having to use to toilets in a local cafe as all the other runners appeared to be using the ONE toilet we could find! I am used to queing at races but not while there are waiters with trays of tea and coffee running around me!

Fast and flat, I too bought a pair of cheap Asics trainers and like the mug! All in all a nice day and a good time to start a race

In short: First half was lovely, shame about all the dull roads at the end.
In full: What a lovely race, the first half had amazing views and was very peaceful, the second half was slightly less nice with some horrible boring roads. But it was all flat which made it a pleasure to run. Really enjoyed it and would run it again, hopefully next time the whole 16 miles. 8.2 was enough for me this time.

In short: good training run
In full: I got taken out by a cyclist on the towpath on the 2nd lap resulting in a bruise to my face and a sprained finger and he said I was in the way - this is not good!!!

In short: Nice tune up for New York City. Well organised.
In full: Overall it was a nice morning training run for me. I ran the 16 miles and then added 4 miles to make for my last 20 miler. The start and finish were nice and easy to get to. My only suggestion for improvement would have been a few more marshalls on the middle third of the lap inbetween the two drinks stations. there were a couple of unguarded junctions where accidents nearly happened. Other than that I really enjoyed the day and will be back in March hopefully.
