In short: Challenging hill for the 1st km but in the shade, the rest is mostly flat but on a hot day no shade and hardly any roadside support to keep you going.

In short: very well organised race, good fun if it wasn't so hot.
In full: Very well organised race, the hill at the start was challenging, if not as tough as I had expected, glad it was in shade, as it would have been a killer in that heat.
Water stations were well placed, and manned, was very glad to see the first one. and as much water as you needed after the race. and was it needed.
The start and finish are in a park with lots of parking so you can keep your things in the car.
Nice little fate taking place as well which made it a fun morning.
Stayed on to watch the presention and the highlight of the day was after the comentator complaned that the ladies weren't giving him a kiss when they went up and collected their awards, a lady ran out of the crowd and gave him a great big kiss that left him speachless. He didn't know what to do. Great fun. Only in it's fourth year this race is going to get bigger and if the fate grows as well it could become one of best 10k's of the year. I will be back.

In short: Great little race
In full: Nice fast course after first 1km. Water station came just at the right moment. I'd like reassurance on accuracy of distance.

In short: A good practice run for the Wycombe Half
In full: Within metres of the start there is a long uphill stretch. However once that is out of the way, the course is relatively flat.

The climate was brutal, but the organisers can't be blamed for that. However, they are to be credited for the additional water station at 8km. This was the first 10k in which I have seen a second one, and it was a welcome and sensible move given the heat.

Having done the Wycombe Half last year, I thought that the experiences were quite similar: A long uphill straight after the start, and fiendishly hot weather.

I'm also told that there was plenty going on for spectators.

The only criticism I can think of is the 10:30 start. By the time I was finishing, it was hot. Given the time of year a 10am start would have been better.

In short: Excellent race - 1km up hill at the start which hurts, the same hill back down for the finish ..... which hurts
In full: An excellent race with kid's race, beer tent and BBQ, good organisation run around country lanes and roads. Hot again this year, but 2 well manned water stations, the hill really is brutal but a lovely race and ideal venue for a picnic afterwards

In short: Hot! but worth the effort
In full: Very hot day, so really important to keep fluids going. The first 1K is uphill which really sorts everyone out. Good atmosphere and set in a lovely area, great for the family with the kids fun run and BBQ.
