In short: Great atmosphere, not overwhelming course, great for first timers!
In full: This was my first half marathon and I really enjoyed it. Atmosphere friendly and calm. Nice route, half in the sun and half under the canopy of the trees so didn't overheat given the clammy weather. Marshalls were really enthusiastic, had a smile on their face all the way through! Not too many runners was a bonus for a first timer. But serious lack of portaloos and no 'official' start line so don't exactly know what my final time was.

In short: Nice friendly race.
In full: This is a nice friendly race with great marshalls and enthusiastic organisation. There is a bit of variety in the six laps and excellent organisation of water stations. I think that the packed lunch provided at the end is a very nice touch.

In short: Well organised, very friendly and supportive marshalls, relaxed atmosphere and a good race for beginners
In full: Did this race last year and although it is a 6 lap course my fellow club members agreed with me that the laps aren't that bad, and do actually seem to get shorter!! All off road so very safe and quite scenic. This race has nice touches (a warm-up routine with a twist and marshalls calling out your first name!)and I would certainly recommend it for beginners. Would do this again. The race did start about 5 minutes late so nothing terrible. The only negative comment I agree with was the lack of portaloos but this is a common problem with many races.

In short: Well organised, great venue, something different
In full: Organisation excellent. I traveled from NI to run and Bob posted my number to my sister's address in London; much appreciated. The multi-lap format and different surfaces make it an unlikely PB course for me but its completely different to the road races I am more used to.
Top marks for marshaling, the aerobic warm ups, the bananas and bagels afterwards, and the pre-printed certificates.
My garmin measured 13.2 and I have run faster halfs this year so I don't think the course was short. Garmins are quite unreliable anyway on a circular course like this so I'm happy to trust the organiser's wheel measurements.

In short: Lets say I was sceptical & a bit frustrated before I even turned up
In full: I booked on the day as the email I sent previously went unanswered twice! The late start, the short course and lack of facilties just grated me, especially as my unanswered questions in part related to these topics.I appreciate that the facilities were demolished due to the olympics but we should have had advanced warning of this

In short: Good race
In full: Was well organised great race laps weren't fun but you get used to them. Managed to knock 6 and half minutes off time from last year and also weather was much cooler than last year. A enjoyable race in all.

In short: So where was Julie this year?
In full: A good race, better than the really hot race last year and the atmosphere was as great. I did notice the race was short again, which is a pain when you are trying to compare times. But I felt the organisation wasn't up to the last few years and chatting to some others we all missed Julie as she has been great at answering all queries and making sure everything is on track. Although the cheering on by the marshals was really uplifting, I'm not sure I want to see the same laps ever again, its hard work going round and round like that.

In short: Slightly repetitive, but a nice run.
In full: This was my second half marathon, it is a nice flat course, although the ground was a bit uneven in places (paths, track). The 6 laps did get a bit boring towards the end, but the scenery was pretty nice (canals, wooded areas, playing field)

I will most likely go back and run it again next year as its a local event for me. The guy running the warm-up was an idiot, will do my own thing next time. Would be great if they had timing chips.

Recommend it to any first timers who are interested as it it was pretty relaxed event.
