In short: Beautiful, hot and challenging!
In full: A lovely setting around Bewl water, mainly under cover through wooded sections to help with the sun and heat. Be warned about the very challenging section in the last third of the race-not for the faint hearted! All in all my best trail run yet! Great marshalling and water stops with treats on the way. Lovely goodie bag, cakes and brass band at the end; not forgetting a special 10th anniversary medal and towel....they made the last 15 miles melt away!

In short: Magnificent scenery, I'm not good off road so I was pleased with my time. Excellent marshalling and fantastic goody bag, medal and cakes at the end.

In short: This race is a great summer trail race - this year really was 15 miles - it is everything you want for in a race as described above. Was using it as part of my autumn marathon training.

In short: One tough race!
In full: What a day, hot, windy, hard underfoot and hilly at the end. Feel as though I have achieved something.

In short: Great organisation, lots of water, energy drinks & cakes at the end
In full: Lovely race but I suffered a bit with the heat around the 10 mile mark. With today's heat the gap between water stations at 6 miles and 11 seemed long but a minor gripe and I could have carried my own water to avoid suffering.

Great marshalls, lots of water, energy drinks and jelly babies around the course.

A lovely day on a really nice course with a couple of hills to test you in the second half.

In full: In a word:- Killer!

Feeling pretty good until approx. 10.5 when we joined those country lanes. The seemingly never ending climbs and the heat combined to finish me off, and had to do a bit of walking. Not for the faint hearted this one, so beware! I'm currently building up to a full marathon so maybe the toughness of this one will serve me well. Very good and friendly organisation, posh medal, pukka goody bag, cheerful brass band at the finish and, as always, nice touch with the cakes.

In short: Long distance, with a last mile challenge...
In full: 75% of the course is in the shade I'd say, just right for the sunshine avoidance. Bottled water drinks, gels, jelly babies, sponges a plenty throughout the course.

Cakes were a great reward at the end of the challenging last mile.

My only negative was that chuffin first style. 800 people over one style is not very good. How about (with farmers permission) removing some of the horizontal fence planks, then screwing them back up after the race. Screws would allow for easy removal for next year.

All in all though - a great day out.

In short: Great race but waay too hot!
In full: Thank you to all the marshalls and organisers - a few degrees cooler and it would have been perfect!
