In short: The race could have been arranged better.
In full: The mileage indicators were all jumbled up after the half mile. But otherwise, good decent run. I would consider running again!

In short: Well organised generally, encouraging marshalls, high % of club runners
In full: This is a good opportunity to vary your normal distance and maybe push yourself a little as it is very flat. The start was a little chaotic due to parked (and some moving) cars. The scenery is mostly uninspiring urban interspersed with a short, more uplifting parkland section and the last mile ending on the track is an opportunity to dig out a sprint finish if you've got the legs. Would be nice to have a lasting memento rather than consumable items. Everyone involved in the organisation of the event was very friendly and thanks to them all for this.

In short: Cold but sunny
In full: A flat race, well marshalled with good PB potential. The weather was fine but very cold with ice everywhere but surprisingly it wasn't too bad underfoot even at a couple of the sharp turns. Overall a good race which I'll be back for next year if my racing calendar allows.

In short: Very well organised by Eailing
In full: Thought the marshals were great espeially in the rather miserable weather. I think this would be a very quick race in better conditions.

In short: Really nice event with improved course.
In full: Second year doing this race. Liked the new course, which reduces the section along the A40, missing out the subway dip, and finishing with a nice lap of the running track.
Improved my time too, despite dropping my locker key and having to run back to pick it up...
Marshals were great, bravely standing out there in the pouring rain and still shouting encouragement!
Many thanks to Fiona and all at ESM for putting on the best local race.

In short: Good event well organised and friendly people. Course is mainly fast and flat but a few sharp turns (run through an allyway).
In full: Was a 120 mile round trip to race but well worth it. Will run again next year without doubt. Friendly people and well organised.

In short: Well organised - better route than last year
In full: A well organised and friendly race. Marshalls all offered encouragement despite the wind and rain. Special mention to the marshall at c. 2 miles with only a piece of A4 to protect him from the elements !! Much better course this year. Good to finish on the track. Strained a calf muscle so didint improve time. Will be back next year. Bring back the mince pies in 2008 !!
