In short: The world's greatest race
In full: A fantastic race. A good fast course if you are sub 3,15 - otherwise their are too many runners. Shame the tower was cut out this year but it made it a bit faster I suppose. Back again next year.

In short: Grinned for 26 miles. What a way to lose marathon virginity.
In full: Read the reviews, saw the pictures. But nothing can prepare you for the real deal. It was amazing. I like to dedicate my medal to all the supporters that carried many runners, including myself. They made me run longer, faster (well relatively anyway) and better. 5 days later and I still have the grin on my face.
Thanks London. Thanks supporters. Thanks other runners. You were all magnificent.

In short: First time and I really enjoyed the experience!
In full: Great day, great place, great weekend! Just a tad to big for its own good maybe, but then would you have such an atmosphere? I dont think so! Cons (over crowding etc.) are far out weighed by the pros (atmosphere)!

In short: Great event, average race.
In full: As an event this is one of the greatest. Amazing crowds, slick organisation and a chance to run past some great London landmarks. As a race it is decidedly average. Unless you get a really good start it is crowded and difficult to run. I struggled to find space to run an even pace until halfway and even then I was still having to change speed more than I wanted to, to allow for slower runners around me. I'll be back but only when I've got a GFA time.

In short: First time. Hardly trained in last 6 weeks due to achilles problems and only got up to 13 miles, but what a day! The atmosphere was siimply awesome and the crowds really pulled me through. Managed not to stop and to complete in 4hrs 53. FANTASTIC

In short: Wow!
In full: FLM 05 was my first marathon and what a way to begin to marathon career! It was absolutely amazing. Words cannot describe how amazing it was.
I can honestly see myself coming back every year to do this, it was that good.
