In short: A great race with excellent organization and good value for money In full: Second year running this race and enjoyed it even more this year. The race is well organized, starts on time, loads of supportive marshals and a great goody bag at the end.
Well done Handy Cross Runners and Grant and Stone. Looking forward to next year. Date of review: July 18, 2011
In short: Incredibly well organised with great support In full: Surprised by how big this race was. Everything was immaculately organised and lots of marshalls making safe what would otherwise have been a tricky route. Lots of support out on the course and at the finish and the most generous goodie bag I've ever had anywhere. Thank you to Handy Cross Runners and Grant and Stone! Date of review: July 17, 2011
In short: Can't fault it in anyway In full: Very well run event. Good encouragement all the way around. Feared the worst after the tough climb upto 2 miles but flat or downhill after that. Enjoyed the steep downhill section. I think we earnt it. Date of review: July 17, 2011
In short: The best, toughest 10k you could get In full: As others have already said, excellent organisation, well marshalled, tough course and good freebies at the end! Living in MK could have done the NSPCC Half...but why when you can get a great race and better value for money in Wycombe?! Date of review: July 17, 2011
In short: One big hill , then mostly flat or down hill ....very well organised In full: Excellently organised and gets the big hills over and done with in the first quarter with the rest flat or downhill. fantastic encouragement from the organisers and marshalls. great goodie bag and the only race organisers I am aware of that provide a technical T at the end which guarantees for once I will actually wear it ! Very pleased to finally run a course I always used to support as a child . Great effort Handycross Runners! Date of review: July 17, 2011
In short: Home town race that always delivers In full: Probably the only must do race of the year for me these days. A summer without doing either the half or the 10k isn't good...luckily only 2007 have i missed either in the last 10 years.
Well polished, so much so that adding the 10k a few years ago worked seemlessly.
Incredible goody bag, nice medals, and free t shirts, different versions of each depending on which race you'd done. Great effort there.
Very tough course, probably as tough a road race as you'll find really, at least in these parts. Very varied though, steep hill, rolling countryside, undulations, even steeper shorter descent, couple of residential miles, round a lake, and then grassy finish...lovely.
For the guy who said the start is narrow..behave yourself. It's the widest start I've ever seen in 120+ races! It might narrow a little, but only after 600metres or so when things have eased a bit. If you want to see narrow, try the footpath at about 6.5miles in the half.
All round a great race. Pleased to come 6th in 36.47 today. 57 secs off the pb, but anyone pbing here has got a soft pb! Date of review: July 17, 2011
In short: Once you're over the hill it becomes easy In full: The hill at the start was a bit of a stinker but once that was done I really loved this race. The goody bag was exceptional and got a great new medal and top. Kids loved the fun run too. Highly recommend.
In short: Challenging and organised In full: Not an easy race but well worth the effort. Slick organisation with medal, technical t-shirt and goody bag topping off a great event. If only the organisers could do something about the weather! Date of review: July 17, 2011
