In short: Fantastic run!
In full: C'mon Rich, you know you loved it. Without question, one of my favourite (largely) off-road races on the calendar. Great marshalling, very well marked, excellent aid stations (Jelly Babies at everyone!) and an interesting route that manages to include a bit of everything (trail, grass, path, road, woods, hills, flat bits etc) makes for a superb day out. A huge thank you and very well done to the organisers once again. My third time and I'll definitely be back.

In short: Fantastic race . . .
In full: I was spectating this year and had a chance to cheer a few mates on. I used this route to prepare for "Race the Train" another good race taking place the same weekend but will be back for the Rugby Rover next year. This is my favorite race of the Summer.

In short: Brilliant!
In full: This is a really enjoyable off roader. It's pretty hilly but the scenery and friendliness make up for the pain!

In short: Hehe what a race
In full: My first non road race and i can honestly say that it was and is one of my favourites, plenty of stop starts for steeper climbs and the styles made it as hard on my head to concerntrate on not trippin up as it was on me legs. Well worth doing again if only to actually run as opposed to hobble the last couple of miles.

In short: Lovely race, tough in places, good atmosphere
In full: Really enjoyed this race, only my second non road race. It was pretty tough in places, like the first hill and the one back out of the woods after about 14 miles but overall not anywhere near as bad as I was expecting after reading some of the reviews.
Beatufiully scenic and well organised, really friendly too, even those right at the front made time to chat (as they passed me!)

In short: tough fun
In full: Great run this. After driving down 100 miles from oop North last year and realising I wouldn't make the start 15 minutes away when I was still in Matlock, I arrived in plenty of time this year and it was well worth it. I think it ranks with the Lakeland trail races. Just as hard, and slippier underfoot. The organisation was 1st rate and everyone was made welcome. Plenty of styles adds to the fun. Apologies to the guy below if I took all the hot water. Thanks Belper.
