In short: A great race, excellent organisation and overall a fab day.
In full: This was my first 10 mile run and I'm glad I plucked up the courage to enter. The whole morning was really well organised and the support was greatly appreciated. Only downside was the mud bath at the finish. Will definitely be back next year. A big thanks to all the organisers.

In short: Great race, PB, shame about the weather!
In full: I did this race last year and it was my first ever race! (last year perfect blue sky, warm, no breeze)

This year the weather was awful, started raining immediately that we started running. And as others have mentioned, the last 2 miles straight into the wind was a struggle!

But it was strangely enjoyable, the damp crowd were still pretty happy and encouraging, and I scored a PB of 1:04:27 on the course so was well pleased!

After the race I was frozen, and the space balnket did not do much! I am not sure what happened in the car park for the later finishers, but I imagine people would have got stuck in the mud.

Despite the weather, was a great atmosphere and a well organsied race.

In short: weather terrible, race great, love the t-shirt
In full: I got quite cold waiting for the start, but soon warmed up, and was able to shed my plastic bag. I really enjoyed the run, and the organisation was excellent. The marshalls and supporters were great; I'm sure it was worse standing in the rain, than running. I got cold again at the finish, and was very grateful for the space blanket. I love the t-shirt, especially as it fits - great to have a choice of size, usually the t-shirts swamp me. I certainly hope to do this run again.

In short: Hmmmmm
In full: what do i have to say well its like this. The Rain Started dead on 10:30 for us in the orange Wave and did not stop til i got home. I really did not have to use the water stations i just opened my mouth and let the rain pour in. now tha hard part and i think you all will agree with me the LAST PART coming around from the 8 mile to the finish GALES, MORE GALES AND EVEN MORE GALES THOU WITH THESE GALES I DID SET A PB WHICH I AM HIGHLY DELIGHTED WITH. NOW FOR THE SLOW PART WHICH WAS THE RESULTS ON THE OFFICAL WEBSITE A BIT SLOW BUT THEY GOT THERE IN THE END, ALSO THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER DID NOT DO A FULL RESULTS ONLY THOSE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE AREA AROUND PORTMOUTH, BUT APART FROM THAT I AM GOING TO BE DOING THIS RACE AGAIN. NEXT YEAR WILL BE MY 4TH YEAR. WITH A SMILE

In short: Please move it back to the 9th October!
In full: Great run which goes from strength to strength, and this year there was the addition of Lucozade Sport, amongst the drink stations. However, I can't help but wonder if moving it towards the back end of October is such a smart move, given the horrendous weather this year.

In short: Superb organisation
In full: My first GSR but one of the best organised 'big races' I've done and that is despite the torrential rain and subsequent mud bath at the end!
I had a good run despite lack of training and there is definte PB potential there (my first official 10-miler so guess it was a PB!)

Thank you very much to all the organisers for running everything like clockwork. And thanks to all the supporters who braved the elemnets to spur us on.

Soggy feet on way back to the car park but tip for anyone wanting a quick hassle-free get away, park in the city centre, was easy!

Great, will definitely be back.
