In short: Great race flat apart from the two bridges over the road. Did a PB today so v happy In full: Only issue was when you turned the corner into the last straight their were runners (who had finished) walking back to the school all over the run in area to the finish. In short: It all depends on the wind... In full: If you are looking for a PB, then there are few races flatter, but if there's some wind, you'll notice it. Today's conditions were pretty much spot on, though, with about 10mph against from mile 6 to 9-ish...
Thanks to the marshals who stood out in the wet weather when they could have been tucked up enjoying an extra hour in bed... Date of review: October 26, 2008

In short: Good race today - a little windy and wet today but no problems. In full: This is a good race for anyone who can do the milage. Well organised, friendly and well worth doing. It can be susceptible to bad weather as it is flat, fast and open but that can work in your favour. The last 3 miles give the latitude to crank the pace up for a strong finish. In short: Windy but fast In full: I took over 2 minutes off my PB so well pleased. It was windy but there was a reasonable amount of shelter even heading into the wind and the course is as flat as anyone could want. A still day would have been quicker and I'll be back next year hoping for less wind. Date of review: October 29, 2007

In short: Flat, windy course, overall well organised and very enjoyable In full: First time I've raced a 10 miler and have to say, love the distance. Overrall a well organised event, good encoragement at end, and scenary not the worst the fens has to offer. FANTASTIC selection of cakes in race HQ at end, well done to all!! In short: This is a typical Fen run - very flat and a high wind! In full: I thought the organisation was good from the parking arrangements to water stations and the excellent table of cakes and drinks at the end. The route is well marked and marshalled with a good welcome on the last bit. Definite PB potential. Date of review: October 28, 2007

In short: not a bad course for the fens In full: Being in the fens this is a flat course with the only two hills being bridges over the A47. Winds througha few villages, but exposed at times to the elements. The goody bag could certainly be improved. Date of review: October 28, 2007
