In short: Fantastic atmosphere, great scenery.. but badly organised.
In full: The organisers seemed totally unprepared for the number of runners. £12 entry fee but no Chip Timing, no portaloos, not enough t-shirts, queues for water at the finish AND it took me 50 minutes to get out of the car park!!!! This is a big event - maybe it's time to get a professional event management company in to run it!

In short: A lovely venue for my first 10k, but let down by poor organisation
In full: As I live 10mins from Clumber I was keen to do this as my first 10k. However, first impressions were that the organisation left something to be desired. There were huge amounts of traffic (to be expected) but no-one dealing with the bottleneck at the Limetree Avenue crossroads. The signage was poor, start positions not very well publicised. It was only by my brother noticing the small signs that I knew where to start from.
On the flip side, the scenery was beautiful, really helped with the momentum. All the marshalls were friendly, and other runners seemed to enjoy it. I didn't experience any of the chaos trying to get over the finish line, but I wasn't impressed that I got the last but one cup of water, considering I was by no means one of the last to finish. Also, having pre-booked my t-shirt size, I was told there were none left and mine would have to be posted. I would assume this is due to people entering on the day not being told their shirts were supposed to be posted.
I really enjoyed the experience, and ran a good time for my first 10k, and I'll do it again. Let's hope for a bit more organisation next year tho!

In short: Sounds like I was lucky to be near the front at the start
In full: I feel sorry for those who couldn't even get over the finish line and it sounds like anyone from 50mins had a bit of a nightmare. Simple solution would be to have the finish funnel several hundred yards back. I'm surprised with such a large venue that the start/finish area had to be so narrow. Maybe they should limit the numbers (sorry, I was one of those that entered on the day).

Saying that it's a great setting and I got a PB!

In short: Beautiful setting, challenging course, good waether - worst finnsh ever
In full: Read comments from last yr about the start, in a park this big, Why get such a narrow start BUT NEVER NOT RUN OVER A FINNISH LINE -Finnished in 50 mins had to join the line to cross the finnish line,in a single file, one poor wowman was writing number down - no idea why timing had totally gone, then had to find water and even further the t/shirt.
Must improve next year

In short: Shambles at the finish
In full: As a NT member I should stick up for this but they really do need some help organising this race as the finish was an absolute shambles (56 mins). There are now far too many runners for the 'organisation' to cope with especially as so many seemed to enter on the day. There was a queue to finish, a queue to have numbers recorded (so no chance whatsoever for an accurate record at all), a queue for water and yet another one for t shirts. It's not that there isn't the room as it's an excellent venue but there doesn't seem to be enough planning or thought going in to the finish area at all. Fortuneately the weather was good again so most seemed to take it in good spirit as opposed to having to queue in the rain but I won't be entering again unless numbers are limited, sorry NT!

In short: Shame about the mayhem at the end and no T shirts!
In full: My 2nd 10k, enjoyed it and improved my times, but the start and end were chaotic- missed my support team as they missed me cos of all the queueing. Despite booking very early, no T shirts left in my size.
When and how do we get the results, and how can they be anything like accurate. Am a total novice, but 5 mins makes a big difference, so dunno what the elite runners must be thinking? Is chip timing- like we had at Sandal Castle 10k too expensive or what?
Despite that, has not put me off and enjoyed the run, though not as much camaraderie as I expected.

In short: Terrible organisation Worst EVER Why not learn from Last year?e
In full: The organisation of this race was Very POOR. Toilets not enough for the qty of people. The start at least 5 minutes late.Only the runners at the front could hear what was being said over the loud speakers. Could not hear when the race started. Throughout the race itself the marshalls were friendly. Run was great till the finish.
WHY did we have to queue to get over the finish line (A leason not learnt from last year) only to queue Again to have our number collected (By ONE lady) then QUEUE AGAIN for water the to top it all to QUEUE again for 20mins for a T-Shirt which had been Pre-Ordered "Small" only to be told there were none left. Pathetic. I am really angry about this as I always enter early to ensure a T-Shirt that fits. They knew numbers of each size in advance so what's the problem??!! We normally go to the T-Shop for drinks etc but were so disgusted we came straight home. Lovely course and run spoiled by very poor management, even worse than last year which is a very hard thing to do!!!! Pathetic.
