In short: A testing 10 miler
In full: The race itself was great despite being hard work and not helped by the wind, with friendly marshals and officials.

It is a shame that there is no headquarters as such or shelter from the conditions. I could find little information on the website about the event beforehand, no previous results and had to ask quite a few people where it started and finished when I had parked.

In short: Lovely views, well organised
In full: Despite the freezing, windly conditions, this was a great race. Very well organised, loads of friendly, encouraging marshalls. Nice course and not too many cars given most of it was on roads.

Minor personal gripe - not meaning to be ungreatful but a medal would have been better than a pen. I know other runners who do loads of races have tons of medals but for us less frequent racers, we look forward to medals.

In short: A good one lap course and not as hilly as you might expect. Parking was much harder !
In full: I really enjoyed this one and would definately do it again. Knocked 7 mins off my Dorking 10 time (but that was a hot day) totally unexpectedly given the hilly nature of the course. There were some fast downhill miles on the course at the start and finish which made all the difference.

There was a bit of treking back and forth if you entered on the day (should a runner complain about that ?) and given all the space there, the entries could have been done nearer the start. Parking was also not signposted at all and having followed all the nice dayglow yellow signs to the race, I only discovered at the last bend that there was no parking there .. despite the big pub car park adjacent the race h.q.

But, friendly marshalls and lots of them and a most enjoyable moring all round. Thanks to Epsom & Eweel Harriers.

In short: My First time for this race...it won't be the last
In full: What a perfect morning for this scenic jaunt over and around the downs. I found this course to be reasonably challenging, it is defintiely on the hilly side of undulating but it would be boring if all races were pancake flat and involved running for a PB all the time.

The first and last miles were fast downhill with some hill work required regulaly in between. There was plenty of company for me all the way around and a lot of marshalls. It definitely had a nice feel about it.

I was concerned with the road traffic to begin with (waiting by the side of the busy road ready to jump out onto the road for the start 20 seconds before the off doesn't bode well), but didn't have any problems thereafter.

As I was new to this one and was entering on the day, I didn't find much information on the website about either the course, the profile or where the start/finish was exactly. More info along with being able to sign up for the race via the web could boost numbers, but then I am not sure if the numbers doubled whether the Sunday morning drivers could cope. A few more signs for the start could help also.

Overall, I will definitely do this one again next year. Please pass on my thanks to the Organsing team and all of those marshalls.
