In short: A hilly, challenging course but overall a very well organised race.
In full: However, even though there were some lovely, encouraging marshalls especially the last two miles some of the paired marshalls completely ignored the runner and were having a lovely chat to each other! Another moan I'm afraid..... the runners worls descrption mentioned a good bag... what goody bag. For £14 all I got was a rucksack which was a little disappointing.
After all that moaning I have to say that the pre-race orgnaisation was superb. Plenty of people around to help and bagagge and chip collection was highly organised and easy to work out! Ladies at the end of the race removing chips were also lovely and helpful.

In short: Very enjoyable, great event.
In full: Organisation and marshalling were excellent. Enjoyed the route (though found it tough in the last half mile). Agree with other comments that this event deserves a medal rather than a bag. Will look to enter next year.

In short: good race yet again
In full: well organised race but I would rather have a medal than a white one strap bag ! I have done hundreds of races -good job they dont all give you a bag instead of a medal - what would I do with all those bags!!! Medals can be hung up and dont take up space!!
Hills? what hills !! those hills are not bad -try Hastings then you can moan about hills!!

In short: A big thank you to all the marshalls and helpers at HQ they were so friendly and helpful.
In full: Found the pre-race organisation not great, as my race number came through very late in the day and was left wondering if my entry had been lost in the post. However, on the day organisation could not be faulted - the guys at HQ were very friendly and helpful and have nothing but praise. Disappointed that no medal - it's sad but always nice to take a medal home.

In short: Supremely well organised and suitably challenging for non-club runners
In full: Once again, a very well organised event from start to finish. The marhalls not only did their job efficiently but everyone of them offered encouragement particularly in the tough last mile. The blonde girl particularly a sight for sore eyes at mile 9 :-) It's not the most scenic race and weaving around some of the parked cars at the beginning and end isn't great but it's a great way to start the training year.

In short: Very nice route, a couple of hills, nice mix of competitors, friendly atmosphere
In full: This was a very well organised race, on a very nice route. There were a couple of busy roads to watch out for, but nothing to affect the overall experience of the run. I am dissapointed not to have a medal to keep. The flimsy bag seems rather useless. Too small to be of any use, too cheaply made to last any great period of time.

This race has everything you could want, bar a nice momento. Will more than likely take part again.

In short: some great views on this challenging course
In full: I entered this race to test myself over 10 miles and the field really reflected this distance. I was one of what appeared to be a handful of non-club runners.

Other competitors ignored advice to not park on the nearby pavements which led to a bottle neck for the first half mile but we were soon on open roads.

The course itself is fairly challenging but your efforts are rewarded with some fantastic views - quite literally breathtaking.

Waterstations were (in my opinion) perfectly placed and quite welcome on the first warm morning of the year.

Marshalls were plentiful and kept everyone motivated and on the right course.

Changing and toilet facilities in the club house were first class.

ok, now for my slightly negative feedback.

This race took place on some open roads, so you needed to keep your wits about you. I normally run with headphones but had to take them out to make sure I was aware of traffic and so on.

Also I dont enter races for goody bags but as one was mentioned on the race entry so I was kind of expecting one!

I would happily recommend this race to anyone who is comfortable with the distance.

In short: Nice, fairly quick but challenging course. Pretty well organised overall.
In full: Generally well organised, except for the lack of convenient parking. Nice memento, as usual here. Bag storage arrangements much better than previous years and manned by very friendly and extremely efficient ladies!

In short: Always a pleasure to do this race!
In full: This has to be one of the best races of the year, well organised, well marshalled & a great finishing memento (a decent back pack, rather than some crummy medal). Even hot showers in changing rooms.

Will definitely be back for more next year.
