In short: WOW Great scenery. Its tough going up fast going down.
In full: Great race with wonderful views. The gale force winds added to the challange with the first 4km so hilly you felt you were going backwards. Some down hill sections required alot of confidence with stones, rocks, mud and puddles out there to cause you added problems but once you have finished the sense of achievement was great.

In short: Beautiful location, real hard going but Fun!
In full: Challenging route, the scenery is spectacular. The long climb out from John Ruskin School in Coniston village, was a killer, although the views from the top made it all worthwhile. A real mixture of terrain: road, dirt tracks, fast rocky decents, wet boggy paths, Unfortunately, the high gusty winds put paid to any attempt of achieving fast times. Superb organisation and a nice friendly atmosphere

In short: Great race, real hard going but Fun!
In full: Loved it, I really like these races from the Lakeland Trails Team. Lots of big hills and big rain with quality singletrack. Teamm Toonie Express are very much looking forward to next years offerings, and the fish and chips at the Black Bull after the race.

In short: What a fabulous day!
In full: Never set out running in such weather before but what a hoot! Those that decided to brave the shortened course were clearly all bonkers which made it even more fun. The steel band playing ABBA as I got back added to the general air of surrealness of the whole day. Thanks again to G, C and team. Let's hope it's dry for the Dirty Double.
