In short: Very wet and muddy, but great fun
In full: Slow in a couple of places at the start, with a single file to past a flooded pathway, and again at the entry to the canal, so not great for a PB, and the mud also slowed me down a bit. But great fun, will def do this race again. The organisation was amazing, ran very smoothly. The 7 km sign at the 7 mile mark made me laugh.

In short: a good mix of road and off-road running, but tall runners beware of the low bridges along the canal

In short: A memorable winter run ...
In full: A very varied race taking in road, track and towpath offering a multitude of fairly flat surfaces including mud and puddles which made this race all the more interesting. No real negatives that were within race organiser's control. Enjoyed the change of course from the previous years and suggest this course is maintained in the future. Well done 2:09

In short: Well organized, friendly event
In full: Reminded me of the Grim when we hit the flood water (although I don't remember cars making waves at the Grim ;-) Very friendly event, well organized. Appreciated the supportive marshalls who were on hand at every turn. The shorter distance suited me and the canal towpath was much more scenic than I'd expected.
