In short: I echo what Flatters has already said.
In full: I even found some of the slight downward slopes between the hills a struggle, never gave me time to recover.

And I certainly agree about the strobing effect on the sun through the fence, I was glad when that ended.

In short: It was good weather and the views were great, you just had to run up some big hills to see it!
In full: Quite a tough run as it is nearly all uphill for the first 4 miles. Great views when you get up there. It was beautiful weather in 2004 which did mean there was some ice on the road so you had to be careful. The oddest bit was near the end where you run pass a reservoir. It is surrounded by palisade fencing which the low winter sun shines through. When you run past it creates a strobe effect. Could it be an epileptic fit inducer?

Loved the race and would do again.

In short: Breathtaking race !
In full: 5 miles uphill, including a mountain goat climb up Geoffry Hill, on icy roads with all views obscured by morning mist.
2 miles downhill at 3 mins a mile faster than normal pace ! Fantastic race, a real challenge and an exhillerating experience flying the last two downhill miles. If I ever recover from injury this and Blackpool Beach 10k will be first on my calendar every time.
