In short: Challenging road half-marathon.
In full: Would describe it as undulating rather than hilly. Long but steady two mile climb between miles 5 & 7, but then a 2-3 mile descent. Undulations on the last 3 miles are hard work. Well organised & good atmosphere. Thanks to all concerned.

In short: Very tough!
In full: I was told this was tough and yes it was! Very hard going, hills made for a very tiring and slow race. Surprised to do 1.39, 8 minutes slower than my pb at Newark 2 weeks ago. Moans were only small size t shirts left when i got mine. Also my entry contained my number only, no time or direction details. This was very poor and worth mentioning. Have never had this before. Overall pleased to finish and will do it next year (maybe a bit faster.

In short: Very scenic and "undulating" race that is challenging and rewarding at the same time
In full: Fantastic organisation, fantastic t-shirts and lovely location. Some of the hills were a little hairy, but the panoramic views from the Roaches were magnificient. And knocked 6 minutes off my PB - must have been the downhills!

In short: TOUGH!!!
In full: Really enjoyed this. The hills were tough but the weather was perfect. Missed the 2 hour mark by just 6 seconds but only missed my PB by about 1 minute so I'm happy. Thanks to the organisers for a great race and thanks to the lovely lady from Leigh for helping me get round.

In short: Ow those hills!!
In full: This was the first half marathon i have ever done. It was a fantastic race no queue for the toilets and extremley well organised. I think if your a beginner give it a go not much after will be worse and it will always give you a PB!!

In short: Great views, well run
In full: I enjoyed this, despite posting a personal worst time for the distance. My excuse is that it was a marathon training run (for which it was dead on pace). Appart from the bit on the A53 it was peaceful and the view coming round one of the bend was spectacular. I have to learn to run downhill fast though.

In short: This one Hurts!!!
In full: I wasn't expecting a flat race and got caught out by the hills from 10 and a half miles on!!! Nice views from the Roaches but the downhill was hard going. Race was well organised and I'm glad they picked up the 'runner' who was never going to make it round the course.
