In short: Pure Enjoyment
In full: My first half marathon. Everything was smooth. Excellent marshalling. Good crowd cheering on, which was uplifting. Good Samba Band. Great cake!!!! (in a great goody bag). Wanted a t-shirt though but never found them -- probably due to a tired befuddled brain at the end though.

In short: a flat, fast half marathon that is a nice event due to the great organisation
In full: This event has so many positives. The course is straightforward, flat, with a nice leg along the sea front and fast. The organisation is excellent, with supportive marshalls throughout, plenty of water stops and jelly babies en route. A good number of runners and supporters turn out and it all adds to being a lovely event. Many have pointed out that the goody bag is great, but for me, an additional bonus was that my daughter ran the children's race and got the same goody bag and medal as us; she has been left with a really positive memory of her first event.

In short: Fab flat course, locals are wonderful
In full: A fab flat course, marshalled exceptionally well, last two miles down the sea front are worth the entry price alone!

In short: SUPERB (shame about the delayed start, not your fault)
In full: This is a great half marathon to do if you're after a PB. The repeat sections through the airfield aren't the most scenic, but that's made up for by the final few miles along the seafront.
It's a pity the start was delayed, but you can't account for traffic when trying to close the roads.
Thank you, all the organisers for a really good day out. It's just a pity that some clubs didn't feel it was necessary to stick around for the presentations afterwards, or the age category winners themselves.

In short: 5th time running it, sun always shines. pb gold, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, excellent community involvement.
In full: Love this race, it is the fifth time that I have enetered and three of my top 5 pb's were run here. It is a very high quality field of runners but is also very beginner friendly. Special plaudits should go to the organisers for the friendly and community minded stewarding, medal giving and baggage handling which was run with textbook efficeincy and cheerfulness. If I could change just one thing it would be to have one of the drinks stations (6 miles ish) with bottled drinks as I find it really hard to drink from a plastic cup whilst running.

In short: Fantastically Run Event
In full: Can only agree with all the other comments on here. Organisation is amazing, atmosphere good, goody bags great, and value for money is simply unmatched anywhere else!
My wife only signed up 5 days before the race and her name still managed to be on the sweatshirt we bought for £12!!! Unbelievable.
See you next year.

In short: Perfect PB Potential
In full: This race is made for PB's, no stress at the start due to great organisation, wonderfully flat course, encouraging marshals, loads of water, jelly babies on route, band to perk you up, able to see the other runners and shout at friends and a wondeful goodie bag with lovely cake to induce a sprint finish. Thank you Gosport I will be back for my 6th year in 2012

In short: Great Marshalls (esp the kids!) and best goody bag ever
In full: Impressed by the organisation (baggage drop off & retrieval straight out of Argos - one way routing, number called & bag at collection point!) Best goody bag ever - cloth bag, contents dominated by consumables (real food: CAKE, banana, orange juice - no gels, thanks very much). I like the medal. Marshalling very good - loved the kids marshalling & shouting encouragement. Water stations good & needed today! Route was more interesting than I had feared eg defunct hovercraft to gawp at. Definite PB potential for all levels. I'll be back next year.
